CAST

Yonatan Gebeyehu (Pan/Bud, CC '11) is super pumped to be in BAT BOY1!!! Many thanks to the cast, crew, and production team of the show. Down with farmville.

John Goodwin (Rick/Roy, ee '12) thinks it's a total scoop to be part of such a funloving Bat Boy cast! It's definitely one of the top 5 creepiest.

Alex Hare (Sheriff CC '13) marvels that his first theatrical experience at Columbia has been shared with this truly incredible cast and creative team. Favorite past shows include TheMusu:Man, ~Sisters, Tuelfih Nigpt, and Glmgarry Glen Ross. He would like to thank his parents, grandparents, brothers, friends, suitemates, and dog for being at best very supportive and at worst generally agreeable.

Emily Kaplan (Ron/Maggie, Be '11) is thrilled to be playing another man this semester! Thanks and love to the cast/production team.

Nicole Lopez (Lorraine/Dr. CC'12) is a sassy sophomore at Columbia College. Last year, she performed in CMTS's production of The WI-JO's Tonuny, CUPlayers The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, and The 115th Annual Varsity Show. Many thanks to her support system here and at home and Farmville.

Brooks "Brooksyonce" Morelock (Reverend Hightower/Mrs. Taylor, GSAPP '11) is super duper grateful for this fabulous experience. Oitics claim "Brooks is like a walking indulgence"--Nma Pedrad. "He's a gay icon in his own right. "--Hillary Kritt. "Brooks lives on the comer of 'too much' and 'you go girl"'--Angela Mayan Seales. "Brooks isn't even a person. Hels an ideal to be achieved." -Will Hughes. "I want to be Brooks for Halloween" - Laura Rietz.

Jill Schackner is thrilled and proud to be participating in her first CMTS production! She's honored to be performing with such incredibly talented new and old friends. In her spare time, much like her character Meredith, Jill enjoys yelling and preparing stews. Jill couldn't have done this without the love and support of Angus Wednesdays, 616, Toast, her family, Judy, V115, Frank and Conununity Food &Juice (9 dollar pancake special Mom and DadQ. Jill is appearing courtesy of Actors' Equity Association.

Ricky Schweitzer (Bat Boy, ee 'll)is so excited to be performing Bat Boy with such a talented cast and crew' Previous Columbia University credits include Pippin ('07), Love Could Drive A Person Crazy ('07), and musical directing A New Brain ('08). Ricky is also a proud member of Nonsequitur, an award-winning a cappella group on campus. Ricky has been working as an actor in NYCJLA and the rest of the country since he was eight years old but is hoping to finish his pre-med requirements in a slightly shorter length of time. If only drinking blood was a major. He knew he should've gone to NYU. Ricky is appearing courtesy of Actors' Equity Association.

Angela Seales (Daisy/Institute Man, GS '12) is pleased as punch to be perfonuing with this rag-tag gang of so-and-so's in this crazy linle show called Bat Boy. Likes: mashed potatoes, jammy pants, and blooper reels. Dislikes: people who say 'expresso', things between my toes, and marinara sauce. Mad props to my husband Alan! I love you!

Michael Seaman (Dr. Parker, SEAS '10) is thrilled to be a part of this amazing cast in this wonderful (and quite bloody!) show! He has previously been seen in Compose . Yourself, Linle Shop of Horrors, XMAS 3, V114, XMAS 2, and Into the Woods. He would like to thank everyone in this show for being the best, craziest, and funniest group of friends! Enjoy the show!

Emily Wallen (Ruthie/Ned, BC '11) couldn't be more excited to part of the wonderful cast of Bat Boy. Previously, Emily has been seen on stage in The 115m A rmual Va~ity S/-xm,j Hippdyrus, and Conp~e Yourself Emily loves Hewin flat bread pizza, the Lerner hot dog vending machine, the lovely 8A ladies, and the extraordinary Bat Boy Gteam. Viva la Farmville.

Remy Zaken (Shelley, CC (12) is thrilled to be playing her dream role and making her CMTS debut! Many thanks to Nma and the rest of the cast/crew for being so incredibly :;-upportive, my family, and my awesome friends for understanding "I can1t, I ha-,re rehearsal!' For Mom, Dad, and Michael always. Remy is appearing courtesy of Actors Equity Association.

CREATIVE TEAM

Ameneh Bordi (Technical Director, CC '10) has had a lot of fun working with the ~echnical and designing superstars of this show. Although she's pretended to care about the rules this whole time, she's really a rebel at heart and is glad we pulled this off! Props to every single member of this show.

Marly Faherty (Choreographer BC '12) is so thankful for the opporturutyto co· choreograph Bat Boy with such an amazingly talented cast, crew, and production team. This is her first experience as a choreographer at Columbia, though she recently choreographed a production of A lia: in Wonderfand in NewJersey. At Columbia, she has worked on last year's Varsity Show and this year's X-MAS. Special thanks to Nina Pedrad and Emma Goidel for allowing her to come late to the party and still be a part of this awesome journey.

Emma Goidel (Choreographer, BC (12) is a theatre major concentrating in dramaturgy. She has studied dance at Dance South, the Dekalb School of the Arts, Tap Mania, the Atlanta Ballet, New York City Dance Alliance, and Barnard College. Emma has choreographed for The P!xx:nix Project: A Bmfit Dance Concert (Atlanta) since 2005. Favorite dance credits include Primavera (Danxs for Isadora, dir. Pamela Jones Malave), Helga (Cduret, Atlanta Professional Theatre at Brook Run), and Gladys (pajaml Gam:, Dekalb School of the Arts). She currently works as the production assistant for the Flying Carpet Theatre. Bat Boy marks her first time choreographing a full-length

musical. Congrats to the super fly cast and production team--I am inunensely proud of aU of you--and Glove to the other boos,

Jenny Johnson (Art Director, CC '10) has served as Assistant to the Producers and Costumers of A NewErain and Songs for a New WorfdIV11S respectively, but Bat Bay: The Musical! was her first crack at Art Directing. She would like to thank her grace-filled Director for believing in her enough to give her this opportunity in the first place, as well as the wondrollslytalented Design Team she had the pleasure of learning both with and from throughout! Again: there are no baseball bats involved in this production; however- it is a home run.

Evan Johnston (Musical Director, CC '12) is elated to be a part of his first CMTS production. Teddy Roosevelt once said, "Speak softly and carry a big stick," and as the Musical Director and with his stupid linle baton and freakishly loud speaking voice, he does the opposite. When Evan is not forgening the lyrics to all the songs in the show, he is playing with his band Capital, working on the next Varsity Show with his blind garden gnome, Man J. Star, and business breakfasts at Community with Francis. He would like to issue his sincere congratulations to the cast on being ridiculously wonderful, talented, and fun to work with.

Hillary Krin (Producer, BC '12) looks forward to doing more musicals with lots of blood. Also, she thinks Bat Bay is eerily similar to TWligfot. Hillary fears she has become a Twi-hard. Thanks to 3b, my parents, Nina (duh), the aMAHzing cast and crew and Artopolis cupcakes!

Nina Pedrad (Director, CC '11) began this journey a linle girl and completes it a man. Bat Boy marks her debut as a director, but she has performed in the Theatre Department's As Five Years Past and The 11Sth Annual Varsity Show at Columbia. Thanks to the cast, crew, and design team for the V&T dinner, retreat, countless meetings, hours of rehearsal, and laughing at her bad jokes. Special thanks to Hillary for that Facebook message six months ago.

PRODUCTION &DESIGN TEAM

Diane Botta (Make-Up/flair Design, BC '10)

Will Brown (Lighting Design, SEAS '12) Contrary to popular belief, Will really enjoys light design. Despite what you've been told, he's also lit VIIS, and he's working on a bunch of other shows this semester. I know what you're thinking, but he actually did have a great time working on this show, and, while this may come as a surprise, he hopes to be able to work with everyone involved again, because, as strange as it might be, he's loved working on Bat Boy. I hope you all enjoy the lights! (Crazy, right?)

Madeleine Compagnon (Costume Design, BC '10) loves college.

Stephen Davan (Graphic Design, CC'12)

Page 7: Bat Boy

Will Hughes (Assistant Stage Manager, CC '13) was once told he has an old soul.

Jonathan Jager (Props Designer, JTS '11) Jonathan can now add designer to his resume, which includes musical director, producer, merchandiser, actor, and musician, but mostly intern. Despite what his apartment looks like after designing this show, he is not a serial killer. He swears.

Rachel Karp (Assistant Director, CC '10) is a theatre major specializing in directing. She thanks Nina for giving her the amazing opportunity to work on this amazing show with these exceptionally amazing people. Next semester, she will direct Edward Bond's "Chair" for her senior thesis, and after that, who knows?

Lauren Lepow (Assistant Producer, CC '13) is obsessed with the amazing and talented Bat Boy team! She can't wait to immerse herself in theatre at Columbia for the next three and a half years.

Andrea Lopez (Run Crew, CC'13) is glad everyone will get to experience her amazing set moving skills. She thinks that vampires have nothing on Bat Boy's problems and that anybody who doesn't love incestuous half-manlhalf-anirnals has no heart.

Lila Neiswanger (Assistant Lighting Design, CC '11)

Ope Omojola (Costume Design CC'12) will steal your honey like she stole your bike.

Molly Rabinowitz (Costume Design, CC'10) did it all for the nookie.

Laura Rietz (Stage Manager, BC '12) loves things that repeat. Laura Rietz (Stage Manager, BC '12) loves things that repeat. Sofia Prado-Irwin (Set Design, BC '13) is stoked that she got to be involved with this show. She's a big fan.

Gabriella Ripoll (Make Up/Hair Design, CC'10)

Danielle Smith (Run Crew, CC '13) enjoys scenic and lighting design, humming along with the actors during the musical scenes, and the chaos that ensues during tech week She loves all things technical theatre and is very excited to participate in future productions at Columbia!

Nma Spirer (Sound Design, BC '12)

Ella Wagner (Run Crew, CC '13) is very excited to be helping out with this production of Bat Boy. She is a freshman in Columbia College who enjoys books and theatre and is trying to figure out what to do with her life.

Boris Vassilev (Set Design, CC '11) is excited about designing the set and drowning in the talent of the cast and crew of Bat Boy. He once used an actor as a prop in a moment of desperation. When he grows up, he wants to discover a way to be young again. Special thanks to Elliede.
