eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and
sporting activities. If you hold a valid means-tested concession
card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for
CSEF. The allowance will be paid to the school to use towards
expenses relating to camps, excursions, or sporting activities for
the benefit of your child. The annual CSEF amount per student
will be $125 for primary school students. Please contact the
school office for an application form or download from
www.education.vic.gov.au/csef. You need to lodge your
application form at school by 26th June 2015. Payments will be
made in Term 3 and those funds will be available once the
school receives them.
HEAD LICE
We will be having a whole school lice check tomorrow. If live lice are found on students, you will be contacted to pick your child up from school. Your child can return to school once treatment has been undertaken.
DISTRICT FOOTBALL/NETBALL
Last Friday, 43 students travelled to Wonthaggi to the annual
District Football and Netball carnival. The Bass Valley students
competed well in the mild conditions. The teamwork of the
football side improved throughout the day resulting in a number
of victories. The likes of Dylan Taylor and Riley Condick
shared the ball well with their teammates. The three netball
sides also improved as the day progressed. The A, B division
and the Mixed Division team displayed excellent sportsmanship.
Well done on your application and effort. Thank you to the par-
ents who provided assistance and support on the day, in particu-
lar Steve Edden, Janine Trewin, Kim Rosenow and Jenni
Nicholls for coaching and scoring on the day and Leeanne
Pendlebury for providing the pumpkin soup.
