    Change Request ManagementWhen a Customizing Changes or Development Changes it is prompted with a pop-up

    box to save the changes to a change request.

    Change Request Types

    There are two types of change request1.Customizing change request

    2.Work Bench change request

    Customizing Change Request: It is used to save the changes made to client specific

    objects. Ex: Company Code, Sales organization etc

    WorkBench Change Request: It is used to save the changes made to cross-client objects

    and repository objects.

    Eg : FI validations, Access Sequence, COPA Settings, Chapter ID creation, ABA

    Developments etc.

    Please Note : Some settings cannot be transported

    Eg : Number ranges, Characteristics ranges, Rejection codes etc.

    Production Server: online transactions take place

    Development Server: Were the entire customizing & testing takes place

    Solution Manager: Is used to maintain the above servers along with many other

    features like Service Desk, Early Watch, System Monitoring, Change RequestManagement, Project Administration etc. Its a mandatory component in the new

    SAP system landscape.

    Backup: This device is used to take periodic backup of SAP servers.

    Switch: Is used to connect the server to rest of the Network

    VPN/Router: Is used to connect to SAP servers from outside the LAN (remotely).
