BASIC EXERCISE FOR SINGING THE NOTES IN A SCALE WHICH ALSO IMPROVES ONES BREATHING TECHNIC DOE RAY ME FAR SEW LA TEA DOE -- SING WITHOUT BREAKING YOUR BREATH C D E F G A B C - START ON THE MIDDLE “C” NOTE AND MOVE HIGHER TOWARDS THE NEXT “ C “ ON THE KEYBOARD A scale is 7 notes in ascending or descending order with the first note repeated as the 8 th note to form the given scale The “ C” scale is made up of the notes mentioned above We get a note when we press one single key on the key board When we hold 3 or more notes together at the same time we form a chord Sharp(#) sharp means half a note higher than any given note eg. A scale is 7 notes in ascending or descending order with the first note repeated as the 8th

note to form the given scale

The “ C” scale is made up of the notes mentioned above

We get a note when we press one single key on the key board

When we hold 3 or more notes together at the same time we form a chord

Sharp(#) – sharp means half a note higher than any given note eg. C – C# D --D#

Flat(b)- flat means half a note lower than any given note eg.A- Ab B- Bb
