Thank you for your interest in Winston Preparatory School. We are proud of our uniqueeducational program for students in grades 4-1 2 with leaming differences. At Winston, eachstudent's program is designed to develop essential skills while challenging his or her strengths.ln our highly successfuì Focus Program, each student receives a daily period of one-to-oneinstruction concentrating on his or her greatest area of need. The implementation of theprogram has allowed us to further penonalize instruction and strategies so that our studentscan better undentand themselves, verbalize their needs and become independent leamen. Theprocess of placement and program design is informed by an in-depth undentanding of theindividual that begins with the information you share with us during the application process.Please refer to the enclosed application procedure checklist for further explanation of requiredinformation. Winston Preparatory School accepts students on a rolling basis. The following materials are required in order toconsider your application compìete. All forms can be found in the Admissions section of our websitewww.winstonprep.edu. Upon receipt of the above materials, the Admissions Committee will rwiew yourapplication in an initíal screening. lf the Committee believes the applicant may be an appropriate match for ourproçfam, your child will be invited for a school visit and interview. All applicants will be notified of theCommittee's findings within three weeks of the initiaì screening, Winston Preparatory School accepts studentswith average to superior intellectual potential; however, Winston Freparatory School does not accept studentswith primary behavioral or emotional s)mptoms.

Winston receives no direct public funding, though many families punue reimbunement under
the "Carter" mechanism. A decision on the award of financial aid may be delayed pending
receipt of full information on available resources.
PUBLIC THIRD PARTY FINANCìAL ASSISTANCE
We expect payments to be made in accordance with our published tuition and fee schedule. ltis important to remember the "Carter" reimbunement mechanism is a legal and financialprocess between families and their school districts. Winston Preparatory School has no direct
financial relationship with local school districts, and families should be mindful of this when
pursuing third party funding.
