BarCamp

• An informal unconference, people gather to listen to ad-hoc talks by speakers.

• Even the organizing of the conference is not set in stone. Anybody can start a BarCamp. Wiki: barcamp.org/BarCampKerala

• About 8-10 speakers per track, thirty to forty minutes per speaker, and lots of active discussion in between and afterwards.

Appeal

• The biggest rule of BarCamp is No Spectators, Only Participants. Everybody at a Barcamp contributes in some way. There’s an active, dynamic audience.

• The largest gathering of geeks and tech enthusiasts is ensured. BarCamps appeal to the cutting-edge crowd. By sponsoring, you become a cool company.

• People presenting often talk about interesting stuff they’ve discovered at work and outside. It’s a great way to discover what’s the in thing in IT right now.
