Clareview Community Recreation Centre

and Library

Excitement is building around the Clareview Community Recreation Centre and Clareview Library that also includes a High School Completion Centre, multicultural centre and outdoor park features. Construction began in October with the Centre planned to open early 2014. Construction now under-way is creating a “community hub” where people of all ages and abilities can gather to learn, exer-cise, relax, meet and have fun. This collaborative project features a unique partnership between the City of Edmonton, Edmonton Public Libraries, and Edmonton Catholic Schools.

Clareview Community Recreation Centre

There is something for everyone! You can swim, dive and play in the aquatic centre, workout in the large fitness area, take classes in the aerobic fitness studios or walk around the indoor track. The gym has playing space for basketball, badminton, volleyball, martial arts and other activities. Drop-in activities and registered programs for children, youth and adults are to be offered in a variety of multi-purpose rooms. The twin arenas will be renewed for all types of skating activities and sports. Clareview Community Recreation Centre will be a place to be active, play and be healthy!

Multicultural Centre

This centre supports the participation of new immigrant individuals and groups in improving access to space and promotes intercultural awareness and understanding.

Edmonton Catholic Schools High School Completion Centre

Edmonton Catholic Schools in partnership with the City of Edmonton is building a 30,000-square-foot

High School Completion Centre with room for 600 students. This “one-of-a-kind” campus provides adult

students with a comfortable environment in which to learn and feel at ease among their peers; appropri-

ate for students who are beyond the age of a typical high school student.

Clareview Public Library

What an invaluable resource to community recreation centre participants and students; a public library right at their doorstep! The 18,000-square-feet Edmonton Public Library will offer:

public computer stations with photocopiers/printers free Wi-Fi quiet study rooms for students reading areas for children, teens and adults express checkout stations
