By displaying his works on public surfaces, it is labeled as vandalism. • As an artist, Banksy has chosen to keep his identity unknown to the public. Despite some security footage and photos, his identity still remains anonymous.

• Exit Through the Gift Shop is a film directed by Banksy. It tells the story of a French immigrant in Los Angeles named Thierry Guetta, and his obsession with street art. The film follows Guetta as he constantly documents his encounters with street artists. The film was nominated for various awards including the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.

• There has been debate as to whether this film is truly a documentary or a mockumentary.
