3.1 PREREQUISITES
Before you start the installation, you should ensure that you have the following:
✓ The latest Banking deployment package
! Furthermore, please ensure, that you have read the readme file accompanying the installation
package. This is especially important, if you are updating an existing Banking installation, as it
contains vital information on data issues etc., that you might experience, when moving
between two Banking versions.
3.2 APPLYING THE DEPLOYMENT PACKAGE
The Banking module is distributed in a standard D365 deployment package, and is therefore subject
to the standard installation and deployment procedures described by Microsoft. For a detailed
description on how to deploy a D365 deployment package, please visit:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/unified-operations/dev-itpro/deployment/apply-deployable-
package-system
The module will install in the ISV layer.

4 SETUP
4.1 SECURITY ROLES
To access the Banking module, users must be assigned with the proper security roles. AMC-Banking is
distributed with independent security roles, which grant users access to different facilities and
functionalities in the Banking module
The roles are:
- AMC Banking clerk
This role is assigned to the everyday users, that are responsible for executing payments,
reconciling bank account statement and handling customer payments. The role allows users
to access customer and vendor data like bank accounts, but does not allow changing it.
Typically, this role is bundled with standard roles such as Accounts payable payments clerk
or Accounts receivable payments clerk etc.
- AMC Banking manager
This role is assigned to the users responsible for maintaining customer and vendor bank
account and other payment. In addition, the role grants users access to manager related
content like the forecasting report.
Typically, this role is bundled with standard roles such as Accountant Manager, Accountant
Supervisor etc.
- AMC Banking administrator
This role is assigned to users with more administrative related duties, e.g. a
reseller/consultant, that is responsible for maintaining data. In addition, this role allows
creating demo data and is also the role assigned to users, which should work as approvers, if
the bank account approval workflow is activated
In addition, relevant users must be assigned rights to print reports via the Reporting Server.
4.1.1 ROLE ASSIGNMENT EXAMPLES
This section and the includes examples are provided “AS-IS”, and aims to provide an overview of, how
security roles can be effectively and flexible assigned to fit individual organizations.
- The “Super User”
Bundle the AMC Banking clerk and AMC Banking manager security roles, and you will end up
with a role assignment, that is very like the “AMC Banking user” role, that was included in
earlier versions of Banking. This user can both view and maintain most data throughout the
Banking module.
| Setup 8
This role assignment offers a very seamless daily use of the Banking module, as restrictions
are almost non-existent, but since this role assignment offers both access to maintaining bank
accounts, as well as payment execution, if also increases the risk of fraud. Therefore, this role
assignment can effectively be used, in a bank account approval workflow scenario, working
alongside a supervisor with the AMC Banking administrator role assigned. Doing so, will
decrease the risk of fraud, as no user can singlehandedly create or change bank accounts.
- Segregation of duties
In this role assignment scenario, the daily users are granted the AMC Banking clerk role, and
the less frequent users, e.g. controllers, are granted the AMC Banking manager role.
The AMC Banking clerk and AMC Banking manager security roles has been carefully designed
to offer segregation of duties and prevent fraud. This is done by ensuring that payments are
being executed by clerks, while bank accounts are maintained by managers.
4.2 LICENSE
To use AMC Banking, a valid license must be present. If an existing license is not present, a new license
must be registered.
4.2.1 REGISTRATION
To register a new license open AMC Banking > Setup > Parameters. In the parameter setup select the
“Web service” tab and click the “Getting started” button, which opens the license registration landing
page, from which the Banking module can be registered.
| Setup 9
Once the license has been registered, enter the username and password that corresponds with the
registered license and change the URL, if you are using a dedicated conversion web service.
To verify the validity of the registration, click the “Verify” button, located next to the “Getting started”
button. If valid, the system should return a message saying, that the license was successfully verified.
4.2.2 TEST CONNECTION
The “Test connection” button in the “Address” section can be used to test the connectivity against the
bank data conversion service and the license server. In addition to testing the ability to reach the
endpoints of the bank data conversion service and the license server, username and password is also
verified and the SSL certificate status is updated.
If everything is successful, the system should return a message like the one below
If “Test connection” instead returns an error, it indicates, that a connection could not be established.
Please, carefully read the error message to pinpoint the exact nature of the problem.
Always ensure that firewalls etc. allows outbound access to the license server as well as the bank data
conversion service.

✓ Web service: https://ax.amcbanking.com (or URL of dedicated web service)
| US Localizations 10
5 US LOCALIZATIONS As of Banking 7.2.1.0, we introduce a US localizations add-on package, which can be installed once the
Banking foundation model has been installed. The US localizations e.g. includes the possibility to
create Positive Pay cheque confirmation files.
5.1 INSTALLATION
The installation of the US localization package is like the installation of the Banking foundation
package, which is described in section 3.2.
Before installing the US localization package file, please verify that the file’s version number
corresponds with the Foundation model’s equivalent version number. The version number of the two
package files should be identical.
Once the US model has been successfully installed, Banking users that have been assigned with the
AMC Banking clerk (US) role, will have access to US specific content and functionality, e.g. the Positive
Pay journal, which is not part of the Banking foundation model.
