KIOSK FAQ’s KIOSK Frequently Asked Question for browser and device related issues.

BOB KIOSK browser and device related.
1. What to do if you get the “error description” message for your FP Device?
Answer: Check for following possibilities of reason for why you get this error:
1. If your Terminal mapping is not properly done, then contact Data center to
confirm the mapping and get resolved.
2. Check for Antivirus whether it is blocking the drivers API to run. If yes then
kindly allow your Antivirus to run the API or disable Antivirus for moment
and check if error goes.
3. Your browser’s ActiveX Setting might have got changed because of some
add-ons installed on your browser and check for add-ons and remove them
Go to Tools -> Manage Add-ons and following prompt will display and
disable them, as shown below.
4. The following error occurs, If your Activex Setting is changed or KIOSK site url
is not added in Trusted Site Zone. Following is the error.
Open Internet explorer -> Go to Tools ->Internet Options->Security->Trusted
sites-> Click on sites as shown below and add the site.
NOTE: - If above error occurs then run Browser Setting setup provided to you to
resolve problem.
2. Why you get “No scanner found, check the scanner connected properly”?
Answer:
Check your Fingerprint device is properly connected to USB port or not.
Ensure you have installed the device driver’s setup correctly
3. What if you get “a distorted page or no images, menu options are visible on
the screen”?
Answer: Your Browser’s Settings might have got changed and thus images are not
visible. For this, reset the settings of your browser.
To reset the settings
>Go to ftp link: ftp://115.114.95.58/
Put the credentials as
>Username: [email protected]
>Password: B0bvle@123
Here you will find a file named browser settings.zip
Unzip this file and then run browser settings.
This will reset your browser’s settings.
Images will not get displayed and “X” mark is
displayed instead of image
4. What if you get “No java support for Applet”?
Answer: The following error occurs if your java is not installed properly
Follow the steps while installing the java. Click on Next to start installation
a) Note: Click on small drop down beside Development Tools and select “This
feature, and all sub features, will be installed on local hard drive”.
b) Note: Click on small drop down beside Source Code and select “This feature,
and all sub features, will be installed on local hard drive”.
c) Note: Click on small drop down beside Public JRE and select “This feature,
and all sub features, will be installed on local hard drive”.
After selecting the above options shown in screen shot, Click on Next and Java
will be successfully installed.
5. When your Finger Print Capture process window shows continuously
“Waiting for the fingerprint”?
Answer:
Following Screen is displayed when you are trying to verify your Fingerprint
If the screen shows “Waiting for the fingerprint” continuously ..
It means that you have kept the finger immediately after the screen display for
capturing fingerprint.
NOTE: - Place the finger after 5 seconds, when the capture finger
print wizard prompts.
