History of Navy Orlando
• Since the 1960s over 2 million Sailors have been influenced by the Orlando area
• Base Realignment And Closure (BRAC) Commission closed Recruit Training Center and Navy Training Center
• Baldwin Park built on the grounds of the closed Training Centers

Project Goals
• Purchase and donate the patriotic Lone Sailor Statue in a Navy Memorial to City of Orlando by 2013
• Express appreciation to the men and women across the globe in the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and U.S.-Flag Merchant Marine, who voluntarily put their lives in harms way to protect freedom
• The Memorial is meant to inspire youth and honor sea service men and women and their families... past... present... and future

developing state of the art training systems to achieve excellence in combat systems
• Serves as a reminder of our support for the past, the present, and more importantly, our support for the future of the Navy and the USA
• Central site for military ceremonies for local commands and patriotic and civic events
• Provides Central Florida Navy Education experience• Promotes school field trips
Revenue Necessary for the Project
• Lone Sailor Statue - $200,000– $50,000 with proposal– $100,000 at completion of statue casting– $50,000 prior to delivery of the statue
• Memorial and Site– Memorial design $ 25,000 (Pro Bono Publico)– Memorial construction and statue installation
$125,000– Dedication $5,000
• Total $355,000
