Quantity/Payment Terms:Products purchased and sold hereunder shall be those for which Customer submits an Order that is accepted by Balboa Instruments, Inc. (“Balboa”). These terms shall apply to all orders accepted by Balboa, unless the parties agree to other terms in writing and signed by both parties. Consequently, Balboa will not accept any different or additional terms presented by Customer in its purchase order or otherwise. Unless otherwise agreed, all orders will be shipped on a “pre-paid” basis, with payments to be received by Balboa prior to shipment.Cancellations and Target ship dates:Cancellations will be accepted within 3 days of receipt of order or if product has not been built. Balboa’s QA department may periodically stop shipments for quality purposes. Order confirmation and availability will be provided upon receipt of purchase order.Warranty:Except as otherwise specially stated herein, systems, panels, boards, ozonators, and heaters manufactured by Balboa are warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and material, and to perform in a manner consistent with the original agreed-upon application and design specification, for a period of two (2) years from date of manufacture at Balboa. All other products are warranted for one (1) year from date of manufacture at Balboa. Heaters are warranted as a complete heater unit. Removal of the heater element from the heater tube at any time before returning to Balboa will void the warranty. Should a Balboa part fail to function for any reason during the warranty period, when used in a manner consistent with the original agreed-upon application and design specification, Balboa will repair or replace the product at its sole option. Upgrades or missing parts are subject to charges and will be quoted upon request. All other remedies of any kind are waived by Customer and specifically excluded from this warranty. Labor, travel, and related costs and expenses for service calls in the field or at Customer’s site are also excluded and not covered by this warranty. This warranty does not apply to any products that are modified in any way without the prior written consent of Balboa or to products without serial numbers. Product sold at “no charge” are specifically excluded from the Balboa warranty. RMA Returns: Balboa will accept nonconforming products under warranty that have been issued an RMA number. An RMA number can be obtained by providing a list of items to be returned to our RMA Administrator. The RMA number must be clearly labeled on all return boxes. RMA Returns Freight: Customer must pay freight charges for incoming RMA returns. Balboa will pay outbound freight charges, excluding out of warranty products. THIS WARRANTY IS THE ONLY WARRANTY PROVIDED BY BALBOA. BALBOA DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER STATUTORY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND THE WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL BALBOA BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR MONETARY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, RESULTING FROM OR ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR THE INABILITY TO USE ANY BALBOA PRODUCT.Miscellaneous:Balboa may modify these terms at any time. These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties related to Customer’s purchase of Balboa product, irrespective of any different or additional terms contained in Customer’s purchase order, confirmation or acknowledgement form, which terms Balboa will not accept. Circuit Boards:Repaired out of warranty circuit boards – 90 days from date of repair. The Topside Panels are the same

Standard and Deluxe units that

Balboa has been manufacturing for

years. The panels utilize piezo-electric

buttons, water proof potting compound

inside to protect the electronics and easy

to read LCD displays. The Balboa panel

technology is unequalled in the industry

and was designed with one thing in mind:

Provide a state of the art control panel

that can last for years in one the harshest

environments for electronics

on earth – the Portable Spa.

When Balboa set out to design a spa

control pack, it was obvious that the

product had to be special.

Traditional packs were large and

bulky and allowed limited flexibility

for installation. The M-7 Series Power

Systems will change all that. With

two years in design and testing, these

groundbreaking system packs are

now available for general use.

The Balboa M-7 Series Power Systems are designed for installation into a portable spa

assembly. These state-of-the-art units will provide years of trouble-free operation by

combining the latest technology with the finest components available.


M-7 Series Power System Highlights

The most obvious feature is the heater

and pump configuration. The heater

is plumbed to the suction side of the

pump with a specially made fitting.

This allows the pump to be rotated 180°

and reattached to the other end of the

heater – instant flow direction change!

This feature alone will streamline the

plumbing process on any spa or line of

spas that require numerous plumbing

arrangements. The suction-side plumbing

fitting that is supplied with the Power

System utilizes a PVC rubber collar to

help isolate any pump vibration and

minimize noise. The pump itself is

mounted on generous rubber bushings

for added noise dampening.

The base to which the pump and system

box are attached is made of heavy gauge

aluminum and includes numerous

mounting locations adaptable to

nearly any portable spa. The mounting

hardware for the system box is easy to

reach and allows quick and easy service

on all the components.

A look inside the system box gives no big

surprises until you realize that there is no

pressure switch anywhere in the system.

There is no vacuum switch either. The

M-7 Power systems use patented and

patent pending technology to remove

one of the most troublesome devices in

any spa system. No more calibration

problems, no more installing the wrong

pressure rating, no more pressure switch

failures – ever.

Upon further investigation, it will be

found that there is no sensor mount

included with the Power System. In

fact there is no long coil of wire with a

temperature sensor attached that needs

to be installed in the tub wall. The

same special hardware and software

that eliminated the pressure switch also

eliminated the typical temperature sensor.

No drilling a hole in the spa for the

sensor mount, no location questions, no

insulation problems, no access problems

for service – ever.

These improvements are the most

dramatic changes in spa equipment

since Balboa first developed a reliable

electronic control. Each configuration;

SUV, M-7B, and M-7C can be ordered with

several options including the new Ozone

by Balboa. This new ozonator utilizes

proprietary features like the Smart StartTM

technology which brings the UV ozone

generation into the new millennium.

This technology does not create the

electrical noise of a traditional ballast-

type ozone generator. It is this electrical

noise that can cause control system

lockups and GFCI tripping.

These improvements are the most dramatic changes

in spa equipment since Balboa first developed

a reliable electronic control.
