TAOIST SYMBOLS Yin yang- how polar opposites are connected and

dependent upon each other in the natural world. Ba gua- 8 diagrams used to represent the

fundamental principles of reality. Each is broken in to three trigrams that are either borken or unbroken, depending on if they represent yin or yang. The trigrams have correspondences in astronomy, astrology, geography, geomancy, anatomy, the family, and elsewhere.

TAOIST SYMBOLS Kua- each Kua has a separate meaning dealing with

the energies of the universe.

Wan-Wu- “the ten thousand things and beings” All the phenomena in the universe.

STREET PARADESOn some holiday, street parades take place. During parades there are lots of bright colors, music, firecrackers, and dancing.

LION DANCE Uses magic Luck enhancement, cleansing, or an

energy boost.
