1000 books is a lot!If you read only one bedtime story every night for three years you will have read 1095. If you read 10 books each week for two years, you will have read 1040.

You can begin much earlier though, when your child is an infant. When you enroll your child in this program you will receive a reading log sheet to record the titles as they are read. When your child completes the program they will receive a certificate of completion to take to Kindergarten and a badge of their choice.

Welcome our New Employees

Kim Jones is the new Circulation Manager Librarian. She is the smiling face at the Rawlins Library and is always willing to help you find what you need. Please help us in welcoming her to Carbon County.

Palma Jack is Rawlins’ newest Circulation Assistant. She is an expert birdwatcher and genealogist so she is willing to help answer your online genealogy questions. Say hi to her next time you come in.

We would like to thank the following news media for

always supporting our libraries:

The Carbon County Library Foundation has only $26,000 left to raise for their Endowment Challenge. Once it is raised they will have $78,000 to add to the Endowment since the state will match them $2 for every $1. Special thanks go to BP America for their generous contribution of $5000 and to all the public for their donations throughout this challenge.

If you are looking to make a difference in your community, this is the organization to join! They plan the book sales, other fundraisers, and are even in the process of planning a storytelling festival.

Meetings are open to the public and new members are always welcome.

Tuesday, November 12 Rawlins Senior Center 11:45 am

The Garage Sale

raised $359! Thank you so much for your support!
