These baddies are weighted on the bottom so they pop

back up when hit letting your little superhero train without

hitting the family pet.

Gauge is not critical for this design, although gauge should be tight enough that stuffing does not show

through.

Pattern Notes

This pattern uses American crochet terminology.

Unless otherwise noted, all pieces are worked in spiral rounds, amigurumi style. Always work first stitch of

new round into the first stitch of of the previous round. Do not turn work. Use a split ring marker to keep

track of the first stitch in each round.

Double Ring (Amigurumi) Start: Tie a slip knot around your crochet hook leaving a 10-inch tail. Wrap the

tail end of the yarn around 2 fingers directly below the hook to form two large loops. SC the number of

times indicated in the pattern through both loops placing a marker in the last st from hook. Pull both loops

tight. These stitches are your first round.

Make Bean Bag (make 2): Fold fabric in half making a 9 x 9 inch square. Machine or hand sew two of the

sides together making a bag. Pour 16 ounces of plastic pellets in bag. Sew the remaining side shut.

Make Bobble (mb): Work 5 hdc in next sc, drop loop from hook, insert hook in first hdc of 5-hdc group,

pick up the working loop and draw through. Chain 1 to close the bobble.

Body - For Robot & Monster

Rnd 1: In MC and using double ring start, 6 sc in double ring.

Rnd 2: 2 Sc in each sts around: 12 sts.

Rnd 3: * Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around: 18 sts.

Rnd 4: * Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around: 24 sts.








Rnd 12: Sc in each st around.












Rnds 24-28: Sc in each st around. Break yarn.

Rnd 29: With CC1, sc in each st around.

Rnd 30: * Sc in next 32 sts, sc2tog; repeat from * around: 99 sts.



Rnd 33: Sc in each st around. Break yarn.

Rnd 34: With CC2, * sc in next 30 sts, sc2tog; repeat from * around: 93 sts.




Rnd 38: * Sc in next 28 sts, sc2tog; repeat from * around: 87 sts. Break yarn.

Rnd 39: With CC1, sc in each st around.





Rnd 44: With MC, * sc in next 25 sts, sc2tog; repeat from * around: 78 sts.


















Rnds 62-65: Sc in each st around.

Place bean bag at the bottom of the body. Stuff rest of the body with fiberfill.



Rnd 68: * Sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog; repeat from * around: 24 sts. Add stuffing at this point if needed.


Rnd 70: * Sc in next st, sc2tog; repeat from * around: 12 sts.

Rnd 71: Sc2tog around: 6 sts.

Break yarn. Finish off. Thread yarn needle with end and weave through remaining sts, pulling tightly to

close. Set aside.

Robot Antenna (make 2)

Rnd 1: With CC1 and using double ring start, 6 sc in double ring.

Rnd 2: 2 Sc in each st around: 12 sts.



Rnds 5 and 6: Sc in each st around.


Rnd 8: * Sc in next st, sc2tog; repeat from * around: 12 sts. Break yarn.

Rnd 9: With CC3, working in flo, sc in each st around.

Rnds 10-12: Sc in each st around.

Slip st in next st. Finish off. Break yarn leaving a long tail for sewing. Lightly stuff and set aside.

Robot Arms (make 2)

Rnd 1: In CC2 and using double ring start, 6 sc in double ring.








Rnd 9: Sc in each st around. Break yarn.

Rnd 10: With CC3 and working in flo, * sc in next st, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around: 18 sts.




Rnd 14: Working in flo, * sc in next st, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around: 18 sts.

Rnds 15-20: Repeat Rnds 4-9.

Slip st in next st. Finish off. Break yarn leaving a long tail for sewing. Lightly stuff and set aside.

Robot Belly

With CC3, ch 21.

Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across: 20 sc.

Rows 2-4: Ch 1, turn; sc in each st across.

Row 5: Ch 1, turn; sc in first 3 sts, * with CC1 mb, with CC3 sc in next 3 sts; repeat from * 2 times more,

sc in each st to end.

Rows 6-17: Repeat Rows 2-5.


Finish off. Break yarn leaving a long tail for sewing.

With CC2, ch 7.



Finish off. Break yarn leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew smaller CC2 belly piece centered on the left side of

the larger CC3 belly piece as shown in photos. Set aside.

Robot Face

In CC1, ch 16.


Rows 2-11: Ch 1, turn; sc in each st across..

Finish off. Break yarn leaving a long tail for sewing. With CC4, embroider x's for eyes and a line for a mouth

as shown in photos. Set aside.

Monster Horns (make 2)



Rnd 3: Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st: 9 sts.

Rnd 4: Sc in next 3 sts, hdc in next 3 sts, sc in next 3 sts.

Rnd 5: Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, hdc in next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st:

12 sts.

Rnd 6: With CC1 sc in next 4 sts, hdc in next 4 sts, sc in next 4 sts.


15 sts.



18 sts.


Rnd 11: With CC3 sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st, hdc in next 5 sts, 2 hdc in next st, sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc

in next st: 21 sts.

Rnd 12-15: Sc in next 7 sts, hdc in next 7 sts, sc in next 7 sts.
