CHPL card holders should also be able to start placing holds again on items in the SWAN catalog not owned by CHPL starting Thursday, August 13.

RESOURCE SHARING TO START AGAIN MID-AUGUST

Ÿ Picking up your held items in a timely manner. Items are held 7 days from the date the notification is sent. After the 7 days, items are routed back to their home library or sent to fulfill another hold.

In this nostalgia-packed lecture, Leslie will explore the history of Route 66 until its closing in the mid-1980s. Learn why Route 66 remains so indelibly associated with the lore of the American road trip. What was Route 66 like at its pinnacle – and what is it today?

We welcome back historian Leslie Goddard to conduct a virtual, nostalgic journey down the iconic road that linked Chicago to Los Angeles—Route 66.
