    MEASURING

Using a flexible tape measure or Gregory Fit-O-Matic, measure the length of your torso fromthe C7 vertebra (at the base of your neck) to thespot on the spine level with the top of the bonyhip structure called the iliac crest. Do it two orthree times to get an accurate measurement. Ifyou are between frame sizes, always go with thesmaller size.

    SELECTING THE RIGHT SHOULDER HARNESS

Most people require the same shoulder harnessand frame size.

    TO BE SURE:

With the pack on and shoulder stabilizer straps

loose, make sure the main curve on the harnessis level with your armpit.

    PICKING A WAISTBELT THAT FITS

Our waistbelts come in one to four sizes dependingon the style. Make sure you have a minimum of5 inches between the pads before they touch.

    FITTING THE QUICK-ADJUST FIVE POINT

    ANGLE WAISTBELT SYSTEM

The CFS waistbelt allows you to quickly andeasily find the right hip angle that matches yourbody. To fit, follow these simple steps.

    CORRECT SHOULDER STABILIZER ANGLE:

    DISTRIBUTING YOUR PACKS WEIGHT

These micro adjustments will help keep youcomfortable on the trail. Ideally, your packs

weight will rest more on your hips than onyour shoulders.

1 Measure your torso length and select

    the proper frame size.

2 Set the shoulder harness in the top orboom slot as indicated by your torsomeasurement.

3 Load the pack with 15 to 20 pounds.

4 Put the pack on, tighten the shoulderstraps, shrug your shoulders and thentighten the waistbelt. The top edge ofthe waistbelt pad should be about oneinch above the iliac crest.

5 Relax. Li your leg until your thigh is ata 90-degree angle to your body. The

boom should edge of the waistbeltpad should be level with the top ofyour thigh.

6 Make sure the shoulder stabilizerstraps are loose. At the boom of theharness, there should be 2" of leoveradjustment without booming out onthe pack body. Additionally, the curvein the shoulder harness should belevel with your armpit.

7 Pull on the shoulder stabilizer strapsuntil theyre slightly tensioned.

    General Fit Guidelines

Be sure to fit the harness size first.

Then, find the correct size belt that matchesyour waist size.

Install the belt by sliding the plastic loadtransfer panel through the webbing andpocket sleeve on the waistbelt.

Put approximately 15-20 lbs of weight inthe pack.

Put on the pack, securing the shoulderharness first. Adjust the harness until thetop of the iliac crest is even with thetop of the waistbelt.

Shrug your shoulders and fasten the belt.Suck in your belly and tighten the belttighter than you would normally wear it. Thisensures that the waistbelt covers your iliac.

Pull the quick-adjust tabs behind thewaistbelt and the belt should automaticallyregister your hip angle.

Release the tabs and the belt will lock intoplace, providing maximum comfort andload transfer.

Make sure you can li your leg to 90degrees and check for even pressurebetween your body and the top and boomedge of the waistbelt.

Confirm equal seings on both sides usingthe scale. Manually adjust with the pack offif necessary.
