Achievement Report CardAdministrative Features and Changes:

On PowerSchool in NB Reports there are two Achievement Report Cards to choose from:

Elementary Achievement Report Card Middle School Achievement Report Card.

The school wide comment will be limited to 500 characters including spaces to accommodate more space for teacher comments on the report card. This is a good location to add teacher/principal signature and date if desired.

The report cards will still need to be printed by a PowerSchool Administrative user, be sure to select Q2 and follow the printing directions.

School Logos and Subject Teacher Names have been added on this report card.

Achievement Report CardTeacher Features and Changes:

Teachers will be use the Achievement Scale.

Grades 6-8 teachers will complete Learning Habit indicators for each subject and middle school homeroom teachers do not comment or complete learning habits.

Grades K-5 teachers will complete Learning Habit indicators.

The Comment limitation is 1000 characters including spaces for all subjects K-8 as well as the K-5 homeroom comment.

The K-3 teachers in the homeroom folder will add an indicator of Yes/No/NA for Participates in Learning Experiences to Introduce French Language and Culture.

Report Card Readiness Tasks Administrative Team have confirmed that lead teacher changes and homeroom

changes have been updated so the correct teacher names appear on the report card.

Administrative Team have reviewed printing and saving to PDF directions and have necessary CutePDF Writer downloaded

Resource Teachers have confirmed they have added/updated PLP indicators in PowerSchool for all students with PLPs.

Teachers have confirmed they have accurate Modified or Individualized indicators in PowerTeacher for all students with PLPs and these are applied to the appropriate subjects.

Teachers have confirmed they are in Q2 in Gradebook for all subject before entering an achievement data or comments.

Over coming known challenges…These are addressed with detailed directions in the teacher guides:

PowerSchool and PowerTeacher displays best with Internet Explorer 10 with compatibility mode turned off - Solution Function key F12 change Browser Mode.

The individualized or modified indicators do not appear on subjects when only added to homeroom. These cannot be added in Google Chrome it will stall on the loading screen – Solution switch to IE 10 and add to each subject.

The gradebook must be launched from PowerTeacher when not at school – Solution teachers should always using the Blue Launch buttonand assure they keep PowerTeacher open.

Data entered is not appearing on the report card - Confirm teacher is working in the correct Quarter Q2 and the correct subject.
