Back injuries are occurring due to a multitude of factors like repetitive tasks like patient handling skills, the aging of the nursing workforce, higher patient acuity levels an increased occurrence of obesity and limited workspace in patient rooms (Hunter, Branson and Davenport). Nursing profession has been rated as one of the occupation with the highest risk for work-related injuries. Among these low back-pain and injury have been cited as the most frequent musculoskeletal disorder among nurses with a prevalence rate ranging from (30-60)%.as far as injuries experienced by registered nurses (RNs),59% were strains and sprains. Nurses had identified back pain as their primary or contributing reason for leaving the nursing field by roughly 12% of those surveyed. The healthcare industry loses approximately $20 billion each year due to the aforementioned injuries.(Kutash,et,2009). In a recent report “Nonfatal Occupational Injuries and Illnesses that required days from work, 2012”, released by U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics; MSD’s accounted for 34% of all workplace injuries
