Advanced Standing Program Application Deadline: July 1 for fall semester
Admission Requirements:
In addition to the admission standards of the institution and the general admission requirements of the School of Health Related Professions, candidates seeking admission must:
1. Hold ARRT (R) registration or be registry-eligible.
2. Have completed a minimum of 60 semester hours of academic credit from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
3. Have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale.
4. Complete the minimum prerequisite requirements (a grade of C or better) listed below.
Radiologic Sciences is a specialized field in which professional radiologic technologists perform medical imaging procedures for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Radiologic sciences is a broad field that encompasses not only diagnostic radiology, but also bone densitometry, cardiovascular/interventional radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), mammography, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, and sonography.
The traditional bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences is an entry-level program that provides students with the education and clinical experience necessary to become registered as a radiologic technologist. The program is full-time and offered across five semesters.
The advanced standing bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences is intended to enhance the quality and education of registered radiologic technologists. The program is part-time and offered online across five semesters.
