What our Graduates Say:
The Bachelor of Education program at St. FX has the most professional, supportive and nurturing professors you will ever find! They are willing to offer advice and help you in any way they can. The St. FX B.Ed. professors take the time to get to know you personally and professionally. I feel very blessed to know such wonderful people!
- Melinda Crowell, Class of 2009

What our Graduates Say:
Six years of university is a long time, but my two years in the Bachelor of Education program made it all worthwhile. Rather than being viewed as a student, the faculty treat you as a colleague and the bonds that they create with their students are special. I can guarantee that you will leave StFX with the feeling that you are a part of a second family because the friendships that you develop in this program will last a lifetime.
- Josh Pettipas, Class of 2013

What our Graduates Say:
St. Francis Xavier University was the best choice I have ever made. The combination of the town of Antigonish, the sense of pride and community at X and the excellent academic reputation makes St. F.X an amazing institution for higher learning.
- Mark Inglis, Class of 2009
Going to StFX for Education was one of the best choices of my life! The life and professional experiences I gained are beyond measure.
– Samantha Zanini, Class of 2011

What our Employers Say:
We have recently hired graduates from St. FX and are very impressed with these candidates understanding of differentiation of instruction, planning and preparation, use of the curriculum and technology skills.
- Michelle Leith, HR Supervisor, Sun West School Div.
StFX graduates come to their first year of teaching with a level of preparedness that we don’t always see from graduates of other programs. They are willing to relocate, keen to get started, and full of passion for teaching. When it comes to hiring, CRCS can consistently count on StFX grads.
- Dawn Quinlan, HR Coordinator, CRCS School Div.22
What our Employers Say:
I am writing to congratulate you and your colleagues on the quality of the young teachers that graduate from St FX. Each year I find that the students I interview are well prepared and able to talk confidently and intelligently about their experience in the classroom. The St FX program of 4 extensive practicums with the opportunity to reflect upon these and think about the relevance of the theory they have learned means that they are well prepared to take up a full time teaching role when they graduate. They are greatly appreciated by our school Principals who comment that they are much stronger than graduates from other universities which offer a shorter program. I shall be surprised if Canadian Principals do not take a similar view.
