The following leaves are administered by the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies Service Administrator, Reed Group. Please call 1-866-829-8861 to request a leave.Short Term Disability (STD)Paid time off for child birth for up to 26 weeks of an approved STD.

J&J Parental Leave for New AdditionsProvides you with up to 8 weeks (320 hours) of continuous or intermittent paid time off from work to bond with your baby or adopted child to be taken within one year from the date of birth or adoption.

Federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)Provides up to 12 weeks of additional time off to spend with your newborn, or for care of a child with a serious illness. Please note some states may provide more extensive benefits or have different eligibility requirements.

Family LeaveAdditional unpaid time off up to 52 weeks over a rolling 24-month period to care for a child that needs your support or care.

The following leaves are administered by Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies. Please contact your Manager to request a leave.Work, Personal and Family Time OffProvides up to 40 additional hours a year of paid time away from work to support work, family, or personal needs such as child care.

Sick Leave Allows for up to 40 hours of sick time for your own illness or injury, and/or to care for family members with an illness or injury.

VacationProvides paid time off you may use to be with your child. Leaves will run concurrently with any available local, state, federal and Company leaves if applicable or required by law.

Nurture Space® Lactation Program

Additionally, Nurture Space® rooms to express breast milk are available at many operating companies. Please contact your Occupational Health Nurse for information on Nurture Space® rooms.

It is a program designed to support mothers who wish to continue breastfeeding after returning to work.

Breastfeeding while traveling just got a little easier…The benefits of breastfeeding are proven, yet there are a variety of challenges for mothers who continue to breastfeed once back at work. With the Breast Milk Shipping Program, Johnson & Johnson is working to help make life a little easier for these moms. Nursing mothers away on business travel often throw their milk away after pumping if they can’t store, keep cold, or afford the fees for overnight shipping. Through this program, Johnson & Johnson provides the resources and peace of mind that nursing mothers need to safely ship their breast milk home to baby. Families faced with the challenges of premature birth often need help with issues such as care coordination, isolation, and limited understanding of medical needs. These challenges often continue when the newborn leaves the hospital.

NeoCare SolutionsSM (part of Healthagen, an Aetna company) is a program designed to help parents with infants admitted to the NICU by providing easy access to relevant knowledge, resources, and a compassionate support system. Each family with a baby in the NICU (typically for more than 3 days and with a qualifying condition) is given access to a tablet-based application and direct communication with a NeoCoach registered nurse or social worker.

NeoCare is there to be the family’s NICU support team, providing personalized advice based on each family’s unique experience. The resources and support received in the NICU continue once the transition from hospital to home is made, until the baby’s first birthday. NeoCare SolutionsSM helps parents find the right tools, resources, and community needed to make educated decisions and help each baby on a path to growth and wellness.

Adjusting to Life with Your BabyMaking the adjustment to having a new baby can be a challenge and sometimes even overwhelming. To help you with the transition, the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies offers employees and their household members a confidential and free resource called the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This service is designed to provide you with strategies and support for effective ways to manage concerns related to becoming a new parent. For your convenience, you can talk to a professional counselor over the telephone 24 hours a day. You can also meet with someone in person at many Johnson & Johnson Company locations or right in your community.

For Work Life services and support, you can speak with a Work Life consultant for practical strategies related to topics from caring for your baby to child-proofing your home.

You can also access the EAP and Work Life Solutions website to obtain additional information and useful resources to address common parenting questions.
