J&J Parental Leave for New AdditionsProvides you with up to 8 weeks (320 hours) of continuous or intermittent paid time off from work to bond with your baby or adopted child to be taken within one year from the date of birth or adoption.

Federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)Provides up to 12 weeks of additional time off to spend with your newborn, or for care of a child with a serious illness. Please note some states may provide more extensive benefits or have different eligibility requirements.

Family LeaveAdditional unpaid time off up to 52 weeks over a rolling 24-month period to care for a child that needs your support or care.

Nurture Space® Lactation Program

Available FacilitiesLactation consultations and a breast pump may be available through your health plan provider. Please contact your health plan provider for more information.

Additionally, Nurture Space® rooms to express breast milk are available at many operating companies. Please contact your Occupational Health Nurse for information on Nurture Space® rooms.

Because your decision to breastfeed your baby is important, the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies is pleased to offer new parents the opportunity to participate in the Nurture Space® Lactation Program. It is a program designed to support mothers who wish to continue breastfeeding after returning to work.

Families faced with the challenges of premature birth often need help with issues such as care coordination, isolation, and limited understanding of medical needs. These challenges often continue when the newborn leaves the hospital.

NeoCare SolutionsSM (part of Healthagen, an Aetna company) is a program designed to help parents with infants admitted to the NICU by providing easy access to relevant knowledge, resources, and a compassionate support system. Each family with a baby in the NICU (typically for more than 3 days and with a qualifying condition) is given access to a tablet-based application and direct communication with a NeoCoach registered nurse or social worker.

NeoCare is there to be the family’s NICU support team, providing personalized advice based on each family’s unique experience. The resources and support received in the NICU continue once the transition from hospital to home is made, until the baby’s first birthday. NeoCare SolutionsSM helps parents find the right tools, resources, and community needed to make educated decisions and help each baby on a path to growth and wellness.

Adjusting to Life with Your BabyMaking the adjustment to having a new baby can be a challenge and sometimes even overwhelming. To help you with the transition, the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies offers employees and their household members a confidential and free resource called the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This service is designed to provide you with strategies and support for effective ways to manage concerns related to becoming a new parent. For your convenience, you can talk to a professional counselor over the telephone 24 hours a day. You can also meet with someone in person at many Johnson & Johnson Company locations or right in your community.

For Work Life services and support, you can speak with a Work Life consultant for practical strategies related to topics from caring for your baby to child-proofing your home.
