Dear local business owner, Building Tomorrow (BT), an Indianapolis -based 501(c)3 non-profit organization empowering young people to invest their resources, time, and talents in providing children in East Africa with access to an education, would like to invite you to be a part of the Ball State University chapter’s Give a Student Educational Access Today (Give a S.E.A.T.) fundraiser and awareness event in Spring 2015! During the event, my Building Tomorrow chapter will set up a block of 250 empty chairs on campus to represent the 250 million children worldwide who are not receiving a basic education. The goal is to get each chair sponsored with $52; every penny will go straight toward the construction of a primary school in Uganda, Africa. Though $52 doesn’t seem like a lot of money, it is the average amount the Ugandan government spends for a primary school student for one year . Incidentally, it’s also the average cost to send an American student to public school for just one day . It’s pretty amazing what $52 can do! As a supporter, we can offer your business brand promotion at our event. Each chair your business sponsors will have your logo, slogan or location, and the statement “ (your business’ name) is helping to build a primary school in Uganda!” The 20,000+ student/faculty population will see your statement of support for global education. You are also more than welcome to have a representative(s) at the event to engage students and pass out information. **Building Tomorrow’s 501(c)3 status means all donations are tax deductible.** As a local business and member of our community, I am writing to you today in hopes that you might partner with us to support Building Tomorrow’s vision that every child with a desire to learn deserves a safe, permanent, and local place to do so. To date, Building Tomorrow has been successful in completing the construction of 15 community-supported primary schools in Uganda,

As a local business and member of our community, I am writing to you today in hopes that you might partner with us to support Building Tomorrow’s vision that every child with a desire to learn deserves a safe, permanent, and local place to do so.

To date, Building Tomorrow has been successful in completing the construction of 15 community-supported primary schools in Uganda, with 7 more under site planning and construction, and has been recognized by the Clinton Global Initiative and NBC World News. Building Tomorrow’s college chapter program, an integral part of the BT model, has successfully raised funds for 12 of Building Tomorrow’s schools. This year, the Building Tomorrow chapter at Ball State is working to raise $15,000 toward the construction of a primary school in rural Uganda.

We hope that you will consider sponsoring a chair at our awareness event with a donation of $52.
