Our Stage 3 leaders taught another amazing lesson on Monday to the younger grades which explicitly taught the importance of being safe in the classroom, being safe in the playground and being safe when moving around the school. One of the recurring points was ‘think about your response’ which linked wonderfully with Kelso’s choices. We are encouraging students to think about their reaction in certain situations by trying 2 of Kelso’s choices. This will be our last PBL focus for the term with a whole school PBL assembly happening in week 10. The Mad Food Science Program This is a fun and interactive educational incursion that uses quirky experiments to get children to understand key health messages. The Mad Food Science Program will be held in the Boambee school hall on Thursday, 3rd May and Friday, 4th May from 11am until 2pm at a cost of $10.00 per student. Permission notes were sent home today with all students from Kinder to Year 6 and we would love to have them back by Friday, 13th April 2018. School Banking

Lucas the Dollarmite visited our

school drop off zone on

Wednesday, 14th March to

greet our students on

their way into school.

School Banking is a fun, interactive and engaging way for young Australians to learn about money and develop good savings habits. Children who deposit money into their Youthsaver account through School Banking earn Dollarmites tokens, which they can save up and redeem for exciting rewards. Getting involved in School Banking is easy! All you need to get involved in the School Banking program is a Commonwealth Bank Youthsaver account. You can open an account for your child in one of two ways: 1. Online Visit commbank.com.au/schoolbanking and click on the link to open a Youthsaver account. 2. In branch Visit a Commonwealth Bank branch with identification for yourself and your child, like a driver’s licence and birth certificate. If your child has an existing Commonwealth Bank Youthsaver account they can start banking straight away. They just need to bring their deposit in every week on School Banking day using their Dollarmites deposit wallet. School Banking day at our school is Thursday. Students need to put their book in the green tub at the canteen as soon as they arrive at school. If you would like to know more about School Banking, please visit commbank.com.au/schoolbanking
