These are as follows: The outer casing.The descending cool air from the room above isreturned between this outer and inner casing.We next have the inner casing and we thenhave an extreme inner casing, or a casing thatis spaced one inch from the inner casing, andthis spacing is to permit an air space between theascending warm air and the descending cool air,as the warm air ascends through the extremeinner casing while the cool air descends betweenthe inner casing and the outer casing. This stylecasing is much more efficient and trouble proofthan any makeshift casings lined with such mate-rials as asbestos sheets and bright tin that areused in cheaper furnaces.
