PROBLEMS AND OBSTACLES
Access to information on statistics on labor and employment, heterogenity of the data sources, inaccurate account of workers, definitions and classes, movement of people employed by forestry, many different agreement, contracts etc., unofficial job relations, lack of relevant surveys and research.

The main aim:
to manage forest and other property in the ownership of the Slovak Republic
Stand area 1 002 677 ha ( 84.5 % of state forests; 51.9 % of all forests)
3-level management structure:
The first – basic level of management consists of forest districts
The second management level consists of forest enterprises (26 Branch Enterprises)
The third management level consists of the headquarter – general directorate
Project of transformation of the state enterprises to the state stock company
