The Parable of the SowerUsing the Bible read the story of The Parable of the Sower which canbe found in the books of Matthew 13, verses 1 to 13.If you don't have access to a Bible or you wish to see another versionof the story, we have posted a link below to a version available onYouTube.

Harvest is the time when we give thanks to God for the food we harvestthat God has allowed us to grow during the summer.

We also give thanks to God for the for the Harvest of Christians that hehas brought into the faith during the year.

The parable of the Sower is a story that talks about the different types ofbelievers. There are those land of the path who lose faith immediatelyafter hearing about Jesus. There are some who land on rocky ground wholose faith quickly after gaining it. Some are planted amongst weeds -people who are telling them that Jesus doesn't exist and so they stopbelieving. Finally there are those land on good soil and their faith growsand grows and they flourish.

Sowing God's Word"Those seeds that fell on good ground are he

people who listen to the message and keep it

in good and honest hearts . They last and

produce a harvest ." Luke 8 :15 CEV

You will need: Paper seed-shape ; paper circles ; glue ;

backing paper ; pens .

Read Luke 8 :4-15

If we have heard and understood God 's Word and God 's love

is growing in our lives then it is good to sow a seed by

passing this on to others .

Take a seed-shape and write a one-line prayer asking God to

help them tell someone else about Jesus

Glue your finished "seed" prayers onto backing paper

around coloured paper circles so that they look like

sunflowers .

Use a green marker pen to add stalks and leaves .
