I scripted, produced and edited the VT and drove it’s push on facebook and twitter. This involved making sure the MOTD’s social media team including Dan Walker bought into it, shared and retweeted the video. I produced the item by liaising with the graphics and editing team to create the montage overnight ready for broadcast the next day. > http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01lh6b2 Here’s an item which was created using limited rushes/footage on Major Tim Peake’s mission to space. At first the Editor thought this was too London centric. I convinced her that it would work as it is Europe’s largest street party, has heavy child involvement and takes a year to plan the event. Setting this up, I found the right child who would author the VT, directed and edited the film that went out on BBC One. I was praised for the item by all the team when it went out on the programme.
