BSE BAND VISIT

Last week we had a visit from some very talented musicians from BSE. The Yr. 8 & 9 students had only

been learning for two years but were amazing with some of their skills and creativity. We hope that the visit

has sparked an interest for our many students who are currently learning to play drums, guitar, keyboard and

to sing.

GRADE 3/4 CAMP

This week our Grade 3/4’s have been

perfect weather, they made the most of

beach paddling, sandcastle

championships, lots of time in the

ga-ga pit, pizza cooking, beach walks

and time at the top of the Queenscliff

Lookout Tower and the Point Lonsdale

Lighthouse.

Well done to the students for their

efforts at camp, thanks to parents for

their support and to our staff who

attended camp.

NATURAL LEARNERS – TERM 3 HOLIDAY PROGRAM:

Are you looking for a school holiday program that engages, inspires and supports your children to be active

citizens with a voice and hand in how their day unfolds? Where they are empowered to challenge

themselves and each other in healthy, meaningful ways and gain new skills for life? Yet still loads of fun...

Added bonus, no need for their digital device quota for the day to be wasted, whilst in our environment /

care. As they are too busy socialising and being hands on Natural Learners to even want it...

Don't delay if this sounds like a good fit for your family as our numbers are deliberately limited for

maximum opportunity to get out & about exploring.

See flyer in the community section and on our school website.

AXEDALE PIRATE DAY

Pirate Party Organisers are asking for school families to donate any large boxes they might have, to help go

towards the construction of the pirate ship.

People are welcome to call Sonya Browne - 0438 904 611- to arrange drop off or pick up. Please see the

flyer at the end of the newsletter.

DENTAL CHECKS

Bendigo Health will again be offering free dental checks for students in Term Four. On October 17th & 18th,

Bendigo Health Care Dental Nurses will be at school to conduct these free checks.

Paperwork to sign up is attached to the newsletter today.

STUDENT ABSENCES

We ask that you notify the school as soon as possible on the day of absence using our school app (this is the

preferred method as it provides us with documentation), email or phoning the school.

Parents who have not notified the school will receive an automated SMS message when your child is marked

absent on the electronic roll without explanation. This will occur before 10am each day. Thank you for your

assistance with this new process.

Details on how to download the App are below.

SCHOOL APP

If you haven’t already signed up to our school app we ask that you take the time to

download it.

The majority of our families have now signed up for our school app and are finding it is a

great way of staying in touch with easy access to newsletters, receiving calendar updates

direct to your phone and entering absence notes. It is also the way we send our alerts and reminders.

To download the app just visit the App Store for iPhones or Google Play for Android’s.

Search for Updat-ed and from the menu select our school. We’ll receive your registration

request and will need to approve you before your app is up and running.
