Calling all BC Communities

• • •

The BCHF is currently looking for our next two conference host communities! We are looking for communities to host us in 2019 and 2020. (Hint: it might be time to head across the Salish Sea again.)

Each spring the BCHF holds a nationally-recognized provincial conference in a British Columbia community, creating an opportunity for members, local citizens, and future members to gather and discuss issues of relevance to the historical community. Annual attendance is approximately 90. Partnerships between communities are also welcomed.

Land, Water, People 2017 Conference a Wrap

Our 2017 Annual Conference, “Land, Water, People,” in Chilliwack is now complete, and what an inspiring, engaging and enjoyable weekend it was! Thank you to all our participants, speakers, field trip leaders, sponsors, volunteers, and our hard-working host committee for making this year’s conference such a success.

A big thank you to Shannon Bettles, Laurie Benton, the brains behind the conference; Sandra Martins, BCHF Conference chair and gala MC; as well as the entire crew at the Chilliwack Museum & Archives. We had volunteers for registration, field trips, floral arrangements, delegate bags, audio-visual, and more!

We have sent out a feedback survey for delegates, please let us know what your favourite talks, field trips, and events were, and, let us know where we can improve. Each host community is unique but we value your feedback. You can also email [email protected] with your thoughts.
