AVReporter Quick Start - Step by Step

1. Install .NET framework v3.5: You need Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 to use

AVReporter. If your computer does not have it installed or you do not know whether

it does or not, press this button in order to check and acquire it. The framework’s

installer will pop up. If you see options Repair and Remove, your computer is already

equipped with this package; you can exit the installer and continue with step 2.

Otherwise, accept the licence agreement and press Next. Your computer has to be

connected to the Internet as the installer will download data before proceeding with

the actual installation. Once the process is completed you can close the installer by

pressing Exit.

2. SQL Server 2012 Express + AVReporter local database: this step is only required if

you plan to use the AVReporter local database (to be able to import information

from other databases or to import data from field devices such as data concentrators

or logged power meters). Pressing this button will start the installation of Microsoft

SQL Server 2012 Express with the AVReporter local database already configured.

installations of older versions may conflict with SQL Server 2012 or prevent its

installation.
