 VOICE  is  a  European  project  that  brings  together    •  14  co-­‐organizers  in    •  11  countries  for  a  duraJon  of  •  3  years  (June  2012  to  May  2015),  during  which  •  18  main  events  are  organised,  along  with  •  3  research  programs  and  •  3  data  and  song  collecJon  efforts.    www.thevoiceproject.eu

•  promote  singing  as  a  tool  for  educaJon,  peace  and  personal  development  for  people  of  all  ages  and  origins.

Conclusions:    Singing  with  children  •  as  a  vocal  training  

•  as  a  part  of  a  musical  and  cultural  educaJon  in  a  much  broader  sense    

•  to  help  increase  language  skills    •  to  get  acquainted  with  other  cultures    •  to  raise  awareness  about  one’s  own  culture,  idenJty,  language  and  history  

 •  as  a  vehicle  to  integrate  pupils  into  school  life
