WARNING DANGER OF EXPLOSION Lithium batteries contain sulfur dioxide gas under pressure and should be handled in the following manner:

• Do not attempt to heat, puncture, disassemble, short circuit, recharge, or otherwise tamper with thebatteries.

• Turn OFF the device if the battery compartment becomes unusually hot. If possible, wait until the batteryhas cooled before removing them.

• The batteries have safety vents to prevent an explosion. When they are venting gas, you will smell it (veryirritating) or hear the sound of gas escaping. After engagement of the safety vents, the batteries are fairlysafe from bursting, but will be hot, therefore must be handled with care.

• Do not carry batteries in pockets containing metal objects such as coins, keys and etc. Metal objects cancause batteries to short circuit and become very hot.

• Do not mix rechargeable and non rechargeable CR123.• It is not recommended to use mismatched batteries.

MOUNTING

The optional throw-lever clamping adaptors enable mounting the Avenger Thermal Clip-on Scope directly in front of the daytime riflescope. The custom sized adaptor can be fitted straight onto the scope objective lens, making the conversion quick and easy without loss of zero.

• To perform initial adjustment, loosen the locking screw(17) of the “Throw-Lever” adapter (15) using a 2mmAllen wrench and pull the lever (16) in the uprightposition, see Image 4. To check fitting, insert the frontobjective lens of the day scope. Lower the lever (16)to locked position.

• To mount, loosen the retention screws of the fasteningring (7). Thread the “Throw-Lever” adapter onto theAvenger Thermal Clip-on Scope. Then pull the lever(16) of the “Throw-Lever” adapter to upright position toloosen the assembly and insert the front objective lensof the day scope into the “Throw-Lever” adapter (15).Lower the lever (16) to the locked position. See Image2 for the assembly picture.

• To secure the assembly, tighten the retainer bolt (18) of the “Throw-Lever” adapter using a 4mm Allenwrench and the locking screw (17) using a 2mm Allen wrench. Also secure the retention screw of the clip-on fastening ring (7).

• Adjust the focus adjustment knob (10) for a clear and sharp image. Note that the image quality works inconjunction with the settings of the daytime riflescope.

• Pull the lever (17) to the open position, see Image 4.The spring loaded clamp should be extended. Test fitthe mount on the rail and attempt to close the leverin the position shown in Image 5. If too tight or loose, remove and adjust accordingly.

• To adjust the clamp, open the lever, manually squeezethe mount clamp towards the closed position. Thelever post with retaining nut (18) will extend out of themount. Turn the screw to the left or right to adjust andrepeat the test fit procedure until mount lever (17) canbe completely closed but not loose.

• Once the mount (16) has been set up to fit the railproperly, mount the device for the most comfortableeye relief.

OPERATION

TO TURN ON/OFF • Install the batteries per the BATTERY INSTALATION instructions. Open the protective front lens cap (11).• To turn on, press and hold the power button (1) for about 5 seconds of clicks. See Image 4 for operating
