Marking the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War, Birdsong is the hit, critically acclaimed stage show based on the world famous novel by Sebastian Faulks.

In pre-war France, a young Englishman Stephen Wraysford embarks on a passionate and dangerous affair with the beautiful Isabelle Azaire that turns their world upside down.

As the war breaks out over the idyll of his former life, Stephen must lead his men through the carnage of the Battle of the Somme and through the sprawling tunnels that lie deep underground.

Faced with the unprecedented horror of the war Stephen clings to the memory of Isabelle as his world explodes around him.

Set both before and during the Great War, this mesmerising story of love and courage is performed by a large ensemble company including Olivier-nominated actor and former Blue Peter presenter Peter Duncan and Hollyoaks’ Jonny Clarke.

Following on from last year’s National tour, seen by over 75,000 people, now it is your chance to experience this stunning piece of theatre.

YEARS

Bugsy Malone follows the rivalry between two half-witted street gangs and the washed up, well-intentioned, one-time boxer who steps in to take control of Fat Sam’s gang and give Dandy Dan and his boys what they’ve got coming. In this tongue-in-cheek tribute to 1920s gangsters, the message is one of romance and good, clean fun; the characters are wonderful cartoon cutouts; and the weapons of choice are ‘splurge’ whipped cream guns, flour bombs, and custard pies.

‘…energetic and extremely slick…’ Total Swindon on 2013 Summer Youth Project production of Our House

This fantastic show features all the favourite Bugsy songs such as Fat-Sam’s Grand Slam, I’m Feeling Fine, You Give A Little Love, Bugsy Malone and I Could Have Been Anything That I Wanted To Be.

A quintessential English country estate is thrown into chaos following the murder of eccentric inventor Sir Claud Amory,

and the theft of his new earth shattering formula. Arriving at the estate just moments too late, one man immediately senses a potent brew of despair, treachery, and deception

amid the estate’s occupants. That man is Hercule Poirot.

In the first play ever written by Agatha Christie we are introduced to a character who went onto become the most famous detective of all time and the only fictional character ever to receive a full-page obituary in the New York Times.

EVERYBODY IN THE THEATRE CAN HEAR YOU SCREAM!

Unanimously acclaimed by the critics, The Woman in Black combines the power and intensity of live theatre with a cinematic quality inspired by the world of film noir. The formula delivers an evening of unremitting drama, transporting the audience into a terrifying and ghostly world.

A lawyer engages a sceptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story and exorcise the fear that grips his soul. It all begins innocently enough, but as they reach further into his darkest memories the borders between make-believe and reality begin to blur and the flesh begins to creep...

Now celebrating its 25th year, over seven million people have lived to tell the tale of one of the most chilling and successful theatre events ever staged.

THANK YOU FOR HELPING GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL

©2007 Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (©2008 Theatres for Theatres) Registered charity no. 23582

Since October 2010 HQ Theatres, alongside its sister company Qdos Entertainment, has been raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Theatres for Theatres Appeal. To date we have raised £500,000 for the appeal which aims to build new state-of-the-art operating theatres at the hospital, which treats very sick children from across the UK. This money has been raised through the generosity of our audiences and the staff of the Wyvern Theatre who have taken part in various fund-raising events and activities. We will continue to support the Theatres for Theatres Appeal and your ongoing support is greatly appreciated. On behalf of Great Ormond Street Hospital, a huge thank you.

THE WYVERN THEATRE TICKET OFFICE is open Monday to Saturday 10am–6pm or until the evening performances start. We are open from 90 minutes before the performance on Sundays and Bank Holidays. We accept most major credit and debit cards.

BOOKING FEES A £1.50 booking fee applies to each ticket (capped at 6 tickets) purchased from the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon, whether in person at our Ticket Office, by phone or online. A booking fee is an additional payment on top of the ticket price that is retained entirely by the Wyvern Theatre to invest in the venue, whereas the majority of the ticket price goes to the producer of the show. Friends of the Wyvern, School Bookings and Group bookings (of 10 or more) do not incur a booking fee.

THE GIFT OF A GREAT NIGHT OUT Book yourself in one of the boxes or one of our premium seats, which are available at just £4.00 more per ticket than the top price seat.
