Welcomе

The Eloise Butler Wildfower Garden and Bird Sanctuary is 112 years old this year. In 1907, the Wildfower Garden was founded with a vision to create a dynamaic

and beautiful naturalistic, native plant focused garden for nature enthusiasts of all ages to enjoy. Te founder, Eloise Butler, was a school teacher who wanted to create a special sanctuary that students of nature could visit to learn about the intricacies and wonders of the native plants of our region. Now over a century later, her incredible legacy lives on.

Free public Wildfower Garden programs take place on the weekends and during the week. Find a date that works well for you on the calendar on pages 7-10. Te Nature Tots preschool programs are a great way for younger visitors to take delight in the Garden’s enchantment. Explore the Wildfower Garden at nightfall during one of the full moon and new moon hikes to see the Garden from a whole diferent perspective.

Wildfower Garden Naturalists will also be leading nature-focused tours April-October in Regional Parks across the city. See page 11 for information on these opportunities.

If you are interested in scheduling a feld trip or guided tour, contact the Wildfower Garden’s Program Coordinator at 612-499-9244 or send an email to [email protected] for more information.

Stay in touch with the latest happenings at the Wildfower Garden on Facebook and online at www.minneapolisparks.org/ebwg.
