Wednesday, October 7, 2009Autumn Glory Kick-Off Reception at The Lodge at Wisp6 pm Cocktail hour, 7 pm Dinner, dessert bar and great music from Remedy. This prestigious fundraising event presents the Festival’s royalty, recognizes the Festival sponsors, and provides an elegant, yet lively atmosphere to kick-off the Autumn Glory festivities. The reception ticket in-cludes an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and first-class entertainment. Each attendee receives a collectible Autumn Glory pin and Golden Ambassador pass which entitles the holder to priority seating on the bleachers near the reviewing stand during the Grand Feature Parade Saturday. These patron supporters of the festival receive first class treatment. Art Rooney, Jr. is the second son of Arthur J. Rooney, Sr. The Chief, founder of the Pittsburgh Steelers Football Club. Art, Jr. and his four brothers grew up on the North Side of Pittsburgh. All were educated in the Catholic schools and graduated from North Catholic HighSchool. Art, Jr. gradu-ated from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA with a degree in history and later studied drama at Carnegie Tech and in New York City. After com-pleting his military service with the United States Marine

Corp Reserves he began working within the Steelers organ-ization. He became the scouting director and worked in that department during the formation of the great Super Bowl teams of the 1970s. Art, Jr. has been nominated to the Pro Football Hall of Fame 4 times. Art married Kathleen

(Kay) Kumer 46 years ago. They have four children, Art, III, Karen,

Mike and Susan, and six grandchildren. Kay
