Autumn Appliqué 1Basic Appliqué Instructions

1. Print out the PDF of the appliqué pattern. If there are 3 pieces, you may need 3 prints, depending on the location in the design.

2. Mark the right side of the pattern pieces so you’ll know which direction to lay the pattern on the fabric.

3. Cut out the pieces of the pattern.4. Lightly spray the right side of the pattern pieces with HRFive temporary adhesive spray and

allow it to set for a few minutes.5. Place the pattern pieces on the wrong side of the fabric and carefully cut them out.6. Sew the guide stitch on your hooped fabric.7. Peel the pattern away from the fabric and spray the wrong side of the fabric with HRFive.8. Place the fabric in the guide stitch so that it matches the stitching line.9. Sew the tackdown.10. Sew the remainder of the design and repeat for any remaining pieces.

NOTE: The patterns are sized for the designs as they were made. If you resize the design, you will need to resize the pattern the same amount. You can print out the pattern at the normal size and then copy it on a copy machine at the changed size, i.e. resize the design to 80%, resize the printed pattern to 80%.

Appliqué Floral Pick Instructions

1. Hoop a piece of OESD Heavy Wt. Cut-Away Stabilizer.2. Cut a piece of Fiber Form large enough to accommodate the design and fit in the hoop.3. Spray the stabilizer with HRFive and adhere Fiber Form.4. Sew design using above appliqué instructions.5. Cut out the design leaving a small edge around the design (approximately 1/8”)6. Using Helmar Fabric glue or white glue, glue a small dowel or skewer to a scrap of Fiber Form and glue it with the stick side to the back of the appliqué.7. Allow to dry.8. Add to the Halloween Candy Bowl or fall arrangement for a fun effect.
