Janine Downes, The Hive Manager, said: “Space Day is one of the pinnacles of The Hive annual calendar. Each year we have scores of families coming to enjoy all things space, it truly is a wonderful day and this year will be no exception.”

Christopher’s Christmas 8 December, 11:30am & 2pm

From the company who brought you the festive favourites The Lost Present…A Christmas Adventure! and Sorry! Christmas is Cancelled…Katie Saves the Day! comes a new wintery tale for the whole family to share.

It’s Christmas Eve and Christopher Nibble and his family are putting the finishing touches to his tree when their festive fun is interrupted by a shocking radio announcement. Father Christmas is lost! His Sat Nav has broken and he can’t find Dandeville!

The guinea pigs gather together and hatch a plan to save Christmas… but everything they do seems to cause chaos and calamity. Suddenly there is a power cut and it seems like all is lost. Does Christopher Nibble have the seasonal spirit to save the day? Or will the guinea pigs of Dandeville wake up to empty stockings this year?

Told using beautiful puppets and stunning scenery, Christopher’s Christmas is a collaboration between the creator of Christopher Nibble, Charlotte Middleton, and Claire Alizon Hills of Topsy Turvy Theatre, written especially for children aged 2 - 7 and their families.

We have a very special guest for the second production at 2pm, the author of Christopher Nibble, Charlotte Middleton, will be in attendance and will be signing books afterwards so don’t forget to bring your copies!

Business Workshop with Dom Portman13 November, 4pm - 6pm

Starting out in business is tough. One of the greatest headaches is identifying how much money you need and raising it. Dom has been fortunate to have raised finance from many sources and now wants to share his knowledge with others. In this workshop he will cover 4 topics;

1) Identifying how much finance you will require by projecting profit and loss and cash flow

2) Realising the strengths of your business and what makes you different from the competition

3) Types of funding; grants, crowdfunding, banks, VC’s, angel investors & friends/family

4) Pitching your business

Dom is a true Midlands success story having studied at Nottingham Trent University and deciding to set up a business here in Worcester. He set up Fancy Dress Worldwide as he had experienced, first-hand, the influence of fancy dress in building friendships at university.

Dom will be coming to The Hive regularly to talk about his experience establishing a successful business and offering advice to budding entrepreneurs.
