51

• 44 OLS Shuttles (sized and built to add another 16 shuttles in future)

• 4 aisles each with 15 levels

• Online grocery order fulfillment

• Inventory in 5 sided (Blue) totes. Order totes have 2-piece lid (green and orange).

Intelligrated Shuttle projects underway

52

• 72 OLS Shuttles

• 4 tote aisles each with 16 levels and 1 carton aisle with 8 levels

• Picking stations induct to Bombay loop sorter. Shuttles are also utilized under the

sorter to exchange full shipping cases with empties.

• Pharmaceutical and medical device supplier store/office fulfillment

Standard Shuttle Systems – High Volume Picking Solution

54

Large

Small

Medium

• Single aisle self contained system– ~350’ long storage aisle

• Storage based on tote size selected

– Small: 10 totes per bay (double deep)

– Medium: 6 totes per bay (double deep)

– Large: 3 totes per bay (single deep)

• Fits in a 32’ clear height building

– 2 Product Lifts

• One inbound lift / one outbound lift

• Each lift has 2 load zones (MDR zones)

– With double deep totes can move up to 4 loads

– 1 GTO workstation is attached to the front end of the storage

– Designed to compete with an OPEX style system

• Targeted peak performance– Storage example – net 8,250 medium loads double deep

– Throughput example – up to 1,000 medium totes presented per hour at the GTO

Standard Shuttle Systems – High Volume Picking Applications

56

• Order start for pick to order system- Contains slower moving low volume SKUs

- Could store ~16k SKUs (Med tote sub-divided)

- Can be ganged together as long as each SKU is in each aisle, or orders can be routed between GTOs

• Pick to order E-com- Small e-com application

▪ ~4,000-16,000 SKUs

- Up to 1,000 presentations per hour

▪ Orders completed depends on lines per order, number of orders open and commonality

- Assumes pack operation done by others (not picker)

- Can be ganged together as long as all SKUs are in each aisle

• Pick to batch- Contains slower moving low volume SKUs

- Could store ~16k

- Multi-aisle systems assume that each aisle has access to all potential batches at all times

Standard Shuttle Systems – Buffer Storage Solution

58

• Basic single aisle self contained system– ~130’ long storage aisle

• 3 – 6 cases stored per bay (based on case size)

• Fits in a 32’ clear height building

– 2 Dual Carriage Product Lifts per aisle

• One inbound lift / one outbound lift

• Each carriage has 2 load zones (MDR zones)

– Container size capability

• Minimum - 8” x 8” x 4”

• Maximum - 24” x 24” x 14”

– No operator station and no conveyor outside of the lifts

• Targeted peak performance– Storage example – net 4,000 locations (2 aisle) and 6,000 per hour (3 aisle)

– Throughput example – up to 2,000 per hour (2 aisle) and 3,000 per hour (3 aisle)

Standard Shuttle Systems – Buffer Storage Applications

59

• Pick Ahead Shipping Buffer- Consolidate the picks from one or more modules for shipment

- Large pick batches (allowing efficient picking labor deployment) feeding small shipping batches (high turn dock doors)

• Receiving Buffer- Mixed load receiving buffer

▪ Hold until a full pallet has been received, then send to palletizing

▪ Same SKU across different trailers for single SKU storage

- Provide a buffer to a slow receiving process

▪ Buffer for intensive QA

- Cross Dock Buffer

▪ Hold cross dock product for a batch ship building

• Sequence Buffer- Feed to route stop dock operation

- Feed a “store friendly” loading operation

- Route skip accumulation buffer
