INTRODUCTION

Automatic toll collection is considered as one of the intelligent transport systems.

IPTB system is used as a system for fast and efficient collection of toll at the toll plazas

Automatic system used the technology of ANPR.

The new toll system depends on following components

AVI(automatic vehicle identification):License plate recognition (LPR)

AVC(Automatic Vehicle Classification):verifies the classifications of vehicles.

Central Server: A local computer of every toll plaza is connected to a central server.

Screen details of booth computer

• This can happen, when a car is yet not registered in central computer database.

• Toll booth operator only has to close Toll booth gate & give a manual toll ticket to owner. System automatically prints a form in which mobile no details + car registration details + basic details of model / make / color is printed.

• Toll booth operator can give that form & get it signed by the car owner, so that his mobile number is linked with car registration number & next time he can drive without any stop.

This automated toll collection system can reduce the need of human resource and time

Secure and highly reliable can be obtained.

It can be used to remove all drawbacks such as time and human effort.

It also doesn’t require any tag only required best quality camera and fixed font number plate.
