Introduction

implant shown relative to organs of
pelvic oor.
(from "Postoperative Imaging after SurgicalRepair for Pelvic Floor Dysfunction" by G. Khatriet. al., Radiographics 36.4 (2016), pp.1233-1256)
Background:
Pelvic oor disorders aectnearly 1 in 4 women in the US.Most common surgical repairprocedures of pelvic oor includeplacement of synthetic implants.
Due to surgical complications, these implants may have to beremoved at a later time. However, these implants havepoor visibility in MRI and US.
Goals:
Automatically segment MRimages of important pelvicorgans and implants.
Develop a 3D visualizationpipeline to assist radiologistsand surgeons during surgicalplanning.
