2. Install Roof Module
2.1 Safety Notes
The AutoFarm system must be powered OFF when installing or removing the roof module.
The supplied locking pin or a padlock must be in place whenever the vehicle is in operation.
The roof module must be removed when transporting the vehicle at speeds above 30 mph.
Make sure that you are in a stable position on the tractor platform when removing the roof module, so that you do not fall or drop the roof module.
2.2 Install the Mounting Rail
Remove the cab roof bolts.
3
Align the mounting rail to mounting holes and fasten the mounting rail to the roof using the longer bolts and spare washers provided in the installation kit. The lettered holes and the dummy cable connector must be on the left side of the tractor.
left side of tractor
4
2.3 Mount the Roof Module
Slide the roof module into locked position. The cable connection must be on the left side of the tractor, facing the rear.
Make sure that the spring lock is in place.
locked position
5
Insert and close the locking pin through the holes in the roof module and the mounting rail. Note that a padlock can replace the locking pin.
Attach the radio modem antenna. Note: The antenna should be attached “hand tight.” Do not use any tools to tighten the antenna. Apply a small amount of silicone grease to the o-ring seal on the antenna before mounting on the roof module.

3.5 Adjust the Sensor and Linkage Arms
Adjust linkage arm length and/or linkage bracket position to obtain between 3200 and 3800 counts. Turn the tractor all the way right and left to make sure the linkage arms can move without interference. Note: This step is done after final assembly during the calibration and tuning steps.

4. Install the User Terminal
4.1 Assemble and Mount the User Terminal Bracket
Remove plastic hole covers from the cab post.

11
Mount the bracket assembly
Note: On some tractors there may be an existing cable harness as shown above. Do not remove or damage the existing cable harness. Secure loose cables with the AutoFarm bracket as shown in the photo above.
12
4.2 Mount and Adjust the User Terminal
Attach the mounting plate on the adjustable arm to the user terminal using four screws.
Remove the travel stop on the bracket assembly.

13
Slide the user terminal arm on to the bracket.
Replace the travel stop.
14
Tighten the arm on to the bracket using an Allen key wrench supplied in the installation kit.
Remove adjustment bolt caps.
15
Adjust user terminal arm tightness so the arms can be easily turned during normal tractor operation.
Replace adjustment bolt caps and adjust user terminal viewing angle. Turn the lever to loosen before adjusting the angle.

5. Install the SA Module
5.1 Mount the SA Module Bracket
Mount the SA module on the right side next to the valve.
5.2 Mount the SA Module to the Bracket
It is essential that the SA Module is NOT mounted so that the cable connection is on the top or on the side with the cable going up.

6. Assemble and Mount the Hydraulic Valve
6.1 Install the Hydraulic Valve
Fasten the valve bracket into place on right side using the two bolts supplied.
Mount the hydraulic valve on to the bracket using the three long bolts supplied.

7. Install the Hydraulic Hoses
7.1 Assemble the Hydraulic Hoses
Assemble hoses as shown (Hose length is not shown to scale below.)
7.2 Route the Hydraulic Hoses
Summary: Steer IN and OUT hoses are routed from the hydraulic valve, under the cab, to the vehicle’s steering valve assembly.
Note: Secure the hoses with cable ties and be sure they are clear of moving parts and heat sources.

7.4 Connect the Hydraulic Hoses
Connect the hoses as shown in the figures below.
Install the AutoFarm shuttle valve as shown here. The center port connects to the Load Sense hose on the tractor. One side port connects to the Steel Load sense line coming from the manual steering unit. The other side port connects to the thin hose coming from LS on the AutoFarm valve.
Install a tee on a the original pressure line going to manual steering and connect the AutoFarm pressure hose to this tee.
The AutoFarm valve shares the pressure, return, and load sense lines used for manual steering. Install a large tee to the original return line coming from the manual steering unit and connect the AutoFarm return hose to this tee.
