(U) This headquarters has reviewed the attached Operational Report withindorseraent and concurs with the basic report and recommendations as in-dorsed with the following comments and exceptions:

a. Reference: Para 2a(I), page 4. Upgrading of the S1 clerk positionis being considered in pending MTOE action.

b, Reforencn: Para 2a(2), page 5. R Status of Infused Pert-rinc'.'When an individual departs for R&R, a f.le copy of his orders will o ,in his field 201 file. This control copy of orders will ,ive notiee to eachR&R. This system will be properly disseminated to all Artillery units with-

in this comand. It is further recommended that this system be establishedt".roughout LUSARV.

c. Reference: Para 2a(3), page 5. The goal of USARV is to infuse aperson only once; however, shortages in certain MOS's sometimes cause a per-son to be infused more than once. USARV Reg 614-9, para 5, does ensure thatinfusir, undesirables is not accomplished during infusion. Sending replacc-ments from the pipeline to the "hump" unit is not considered desirable, asthe replacement personnel would create an additional hump the next year.I FFORCEV is the controlling agency of all infusion within I "FORCEV Artillery.

d. Reference: Para 2e(I), page 7. Non concur. Obtaining approval forfloat equ.pmaent increases the organizational mission with no authorizationfor additional persomnel. The addition of two aiming circles per firing bat-tery is being considered in pending MTCE action.

(1) Avaiability of AiminR Circle Float.

(a) MS=VATIC2. Artillery fizing batteries are experieno-ing problems in keeping two operationa aiming cirles on hand.

throughout USA.V.

d. Reference: Para 2a(3), page 5. The goal of USARV is to infuse a

person only once; however, shortages in certain MOS's sometimes cause a per-

son to be infused more than once. USARV Reg 614-9, pars 5, does ensure that

infusix, undesirables is not accomplished during infusion. Sending replace-

ments from the pipeline to the thump" unit is not considered desirable, as

the replacement personnel would create an additional hump the next year.

I FFORCEV is the controlling agency of all infusion within I WRCEV Artillery.

d. Reference: Para 2e(1), page 7. Non concur. Obtaining approval for

float equipmaent increases the organizational mission with no authorization

for additional persomel. The addition of two aiming circles per firing bat-

tery is being considered in pending MTOE action.

e. Reference: Para 2e(2), page 7. This headquarterg will coordinate

required engineer support with I FFORCEV Engineer Officr.

f. Reference: Para 2e(3), page 8. Non concur. There is no special

authorizazion for 05 requisitioning required in the instance cited. Author-

ity is granted by pars 4-1, d and Section B, Appendix II, AR 735-35 w/C1.

Any zero balance must be requisitioned with Urgency of Need designation B

or IPD of 05.
