Authentication of Central Board
of Secondary Education (CBSE)
Before you start make sure that your name in your Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
documents is exactly the same as that in your valid Passport. You must retain the same nationality and
passport name for the duration of the programme in RCSI-Bahrain
What is Authentication of Document and Why is it MandatoryAcademic Credentials intended for use in another country must be “authenticated” or “legalized” in order to be
recognized as valid in the foreign country. Attestation stamps from different authorized agency is required for
this process. The Higher Education Council (HEC) Bahrain requires all students commencing studies in
Bahrain to obtain authentication of the High School/Secondary Transcript and Diploma (or equivalent) from the
country which provides the qualification or the country where they studied. Students coming from another
University are required to obtain authentication of their original University Transcript and Certificate but also of
their Secondary Academic Credentials.
For Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Completed in BahrainYou are required to submit the following:
Original Transcript of Records (Class 10 to Class 12) and Transfer Certificate
Equivalency Letter form MOE– Private Education Directorate (check with your school if they will be
processing this for you)
For Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Completed Outside BahrainYou are required to submit the following:
Original Transcript of Records (Class 10 to Class 12) and Transfer Certificate
An Equivalency Letter (where available) and/or stamp from the Ministry of Education in the country where
you completed your CBSE
Stamp from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Bahrain Embassy in the country where the CBSE was
completed
Stamp from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bahrain
NOTE: We can provide assistance with the attestation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bahrain, however,
there is a cost associated with this. Please contact [email protected] if you wish to avail this.
NOTE: No student will be allowed to register at the University without the submission of the required attested documents.
For Transfer Students
You are required to submit an attested Withdrawal Letter and University
Transcript of Records all stamped by the Higher Education Council, Ministry
of Foreign Affairs and Bahrain Embassy in the country of the university from
which you are transferring. You must also submit all your original attested
high school/secondary documents as above.
Alternatively, if your country is a member of Hague Convention, the above can be
attested using Apostille. You can ask the Admissions Office to provide you with the
guidelines on how to do the authentication of documents using Apostille

Authentication of High School
Documents from Canada
Before you start make sure that your name in your High School documents is exactly the same as that
in your valid Passport. You must retain the same nationality and passport name for the duration of the
programme in RCSI-Bahrain

NOTE: We can provide assistance with the attestation by the Canadian Consulate and the Ministry of

Authentication of Bachelors
Degree
Before you start make sure that your name in your Bachelors Degree and Transcript is exactly the same
as what is written in your valid Passport and also make sure to retain the same nationality/passport name for
the duration of the programme in RCSI-Bahrain
What is Authentication of Document and Why is it MandatoryAcademic Credentials intended for use in another country must be “authenticated” or “legalized” in order to be
recognized as valid in the foreign country. Attestation stamps from different authorized agency is required for
this process. The Higher Education Council (HEC) Bahrain requires all students commencing studies in
Bahrain to obtain authentication of all academic credentials. All students applying for a Masters Degree
Programme must also submit the attested Secondary/High School documents as well as the required
attestation below for the Bachelors Degree and Transcript. Student who did not complete a Bachelors Degree
need to attest the Withdrawal Letter instead of the Bachelors Degree. You can ask for the Authentication
Guidelines for your respective Secondary documents in the Admission Department.
For those who completed a Bachelor’s Degree You are required to submit the following:
Original Bachelors Degree and Transcript of Records
An Equivalency Letter (where available) and/or stamp of the above from the Higher Education Council in
the country where you completed your Bachelors Degree
Stamp from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Bahrain Embassy in that same country where the Bachelors
Degree was awarded
Stamp from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bahrain

For students who studied in Canada, the same process in “Authentication of High School Documents from
Canada” must be followed for your documents (request this guidelines from the Admissions Department).
