Gulf Savannah Development Inc. (GSD) is pleased to advise that our Australian Small Business Advisory Service
(ASBAS) currently has five streams under the Business Solutions Program available to small business operators
or enterprising persons in the shires of Burke, Carpentaria, Croydon, Doomadgee, Etheridge, Mornington,
Mareeba, Tablelands and Kowanyama. The five streams include:
� Funding Avenues and Financial Analysis Services include providing independent information and guidance on banking and finance products, coaching to present
finance bids, effective cash flow management processes and financial data interpretations. Assistance with budgets,
finance/funding applications, debt controlling solutions, monetisation of products and creation of new revenue streams.
� Building Your Business Services include assistance with business planning/mentoring strategies, cash flow modelling, product design, licensing
requirements, market identification, production and distribution analysis, competitor and risk analysis, diagnostic assessment
of current business operations and business planning advice.
� Making the Most of Your Talent and Team Services include mentoring to assist clients in a broad range of expertise and experiences, building self-confidence within the
business community and supporting them to embrace their talents and grow their team. Guidance can be provided on human
resource strategies including recruitment, employment and occupational health and safety requirements, advisory service
meetings and networking opportunities, talent recruitment and retention tools training programs to update business operators
about significant new regulations and/or relevant Australian Government business initiatives.
� Management Capabilities Services include assistance to clients in developing their management skills. Consultants are also able to provide help with
creating, reviewing and implementing business plans, assessing and improving supply-chain management, succession planning
and legal advice such as licencing over business premises, retail tenancy, intellectual property and credit management issues.
� Digital Engagement Implementation Services include mentoring, training and assistance to clients to deliver a productive social media presence, a digital
engagement strategy and an online profile that is tailored to meet individual needs. This will include advice and assistance on
e-commerce, advice with information technology and broadband service issues, and adopting concepts to assist with
marketing, managing and growing ideas.
Eligible small businesses who are looking to increase productivity, or enterprising persons who are planning to
start a business, can receive up to 20 hours of professional support from our ASBAS Panel of consultants. GSD
can link you up with LOW COST one-on-one advice with our consultants, as per the fee schedule:

No charge
$25 per hour (inclusive of GST)
• Maximum of 20 hours: this can be used for more than one panel member.
• After 20 hours under the ASBAS Program, it then becomes a private and
commercial arrangement between your business and the consultant.

Anne English
Anne English graduated from Monash University in Victoria in Arts
and Law in 1980, joined the firm of Bottoms English in 1981 and was
admitted as a partner in 1986. In 2013 the Atherton office of
Bottoms English became a separate entity now trading as Atherton
Tablelands Law.
For many years, Anne’s field of expertise has also included maritime,
mining and native title law. She has acted for both Aboriginal land
owners, pastoralists and mining companies in extensive negotiations
regarding compensation, conduct and access agreements.
Anne has developed an extensive practice in general administrative law and also in the Local
Government area. This experience extends to the development and implementation of by-laws,
administrative procedures, permit and licensing arrangements and extensive liaison between
Government Departments and clients.
