Can you explain the science behind your cooking skills in a dynamic and entertaining way - knockout style?

If so we can feature your event within the Australian Science Festival as part of Gastronomy Insights – a celebration of food as a Blockbuster Event.

Some of our event ideas include:

Unconscious Tasters – Perception of Tastes Uncover the science behind taste and understand the perception of flavours in food and wine. Audience will be able to participate in the taste experience.

Cooking Up a StormIn Cooking up a Storm, the dynamic duo of science presenter and master chef deliver expert knowledge through demonstrating cooking which the audience dines on. This event will be a dinner event.

Cocktail PartyExperience cocktails straight from the lab while enjoying unique and surprising science entertainment.

These are just some of the concepts we have so far - we know you have more. Please contact us if you have a great idea for our Gastronomy Insights Blockbuster Events section.

If you already demonstrate, or could easily adapt, an element of science in your current day to day business, you may wish to join the Gastronomy Insight program as an event in the Super Tasters Trail. You will need to demonstrate the science behind your business. This can be through - A talk, demonstration or workshop of the science principles

behind your cooking, food production- Altering your menu throughout August to explain the science

of your menu. e.g. the green miles of food used.- Giving a tour to describe the scientific process of your

production cycle – e.g. a tour of your winery, demonstration of your on-farm practices, leaflet explaining the science of your food products etc.

To be involved in this area, please contact us with your ideas.
