About the territory:
• The Australian Capital Territory is including the capital of Australia - Canberra, agricultural area and the National Park Namadzhi. It population is 357,222 people.
Geography
• The ACT is sutiated in the east of Australia. It is area - 2358 km². 46% of the national park occupies Namadzhi. The highest point of the territory - Mount Bimberi.
Perth is the capital of Western Australia, a
bright, beautiful and modern city.
Population of this city is about 1 200 000
people. Perth - a port city, situated on the
shore of the Indian ocean.
Western Australia is the largest state of Australia which
occupies one third of the territory of the continent. The
population of this state is 2 million people. On the East
the state shares borders with Northern Territory and
South Australia. In the territory of the state there are
places where the foot of a person didn't step yet.
The state of Western Australia is dry and inhospitable except the southwestern corner of the state. Nearly all of state’s farms, sheep stations and fruit gardens are situated there. The rest of the state is dry desert land with very few towns or lonely cattle stations.

In Western Australia, there are about 540
species of birds. The best territories are to
the southwest corner of the state, the area
around Broome and the Kimberley area.
In Western Australia there live dingo,
Emu, Sugar glider and monitor lizard.

Brisbane, its capital, is situated on the east coast. Queensland has long beautiful sandy
beaches. Its coast is a popular place for holidaymaker. The climate along the east coast
is hot and humid.
Most of the land in the south is too dry for farming. Some of Australia’s most
unproductive desert lands occupy the bigger part of the state.
South Australia is a state in the southern part of
Australia. The population of the state - 1.5 million
people, about 10% of the total population.
Climate
Climate in this state: wet winters and dry hot
summers. The temperature in summer (December-
February) from +15 C to +29 C, and in winter (June-
August) +8 C to +15 C. Frosts are extremely rare.
South Australia is home to long summers, stunning beaches and award-winning wine, events and
festivals. It’s the gateway to the Barossa, Flinders Ranges and outback and Kangaroo Island.

Darwin is the biggest town in the Northern Territory.
