MIX AT SIX NETWORKING FUNCTIONS AUSTRALIA CHINA EXPO BREAKFAST

AUSTRALIA CHINA EXPO SEMINAR SERIES

The Australia China Expo 2016 Mix at Six Networking function provided attendees, exhibitors, and VIP guests an opportunity to network in an informal setting over some drinks and canapés to discuss the day’s topics and the current condition and future development of Australia China bilateral relationship.

This was the ideal way to celebrate a successful first day of Australia China Expo 2016.

The Australia China Expo 2016 Breakfast was the official launch of the inaugural Australia China Expo series. Mr. Ray Evans, CEO of the Australian Business Fo-rum, welcomed all delegates and VIP guests, and along with Mr. John Rashleigh, Chairman of the Australian Business Forum, launched the event. Attendees heard from Hon. Bruce Atkinson, President of the Legislative Council, and an inspiring and insightful keynote address delivered by the High Commissioner for the Republic of Mauritius in Canberra, His Excellency, Mr. Patrick Cavalot.

The Australia China Expo Seminar Series allowed exhibitors and industry leaders an opportunity to address attendees on current contentious issues, trends and provide insightful advice and projections for the condition of the Australian small business industry. Representatives from Fair Work Ombudsman, Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman, ATO, AusIndustry, American Express, Oracle, and Servcorp, discussed the way in which their enterprises and agencies provide support for SMEs, as well as their professional analysis on the development of this growing business sector.

AUSTRALIA CHINA EXPO HIGHLIGHTS

CHINA DIGITAL CONFERENCE

Now in its 4th year, the China Digital Conference 2016 (CDC) Melbourne event was presented by Australia Post StarTrack on the 28th of April, concurrently with the Australia China Expo 2016 and Australia-China Expo 2016.

Hosted by China Skinny’s, Mark Tanner, CDC delved into the intricacies and obsta-cles present in accessing China’s vast online and e-commerce market. Competing against China’s online giants, overcoming the firewall, and ensuring a targeted and appropriate online marketing strategy were some of the key take-away messages from our expert speakers and panellists.

CDC addressed the need of Australian companies who are looking to continually develop their online presence in China, and this was a driver for presenting CDC in parallel with the Australia-China Expo 2016.
