In the month of July, we learned about “Inside and Outside”. We enjoyed strolling the halls while singing the “Hokey Pokey”. We had fun exploring the shape octagon and even painting our octagons blue. We have been practicing the baby sign “Hurt”. We had a blast with the nursery rhyme “This is My Turtle”, and we explored the colors red, white and blue!In August, we will start learning the baby sign “Diaper”. Exploring theme “Open and Close”. You will hear us rhyming with “Where is Thumbkin?” as well as greeting our friends with the “Good Morning to You” song. We get to explore with the color blue more! We will also get to play with our prop box as we learn about cleaning.We would like say Hello to Gavin “Welcome to Room 1”

In July, we made an American Flag using our feet and handprints. We enjoyed painting some ovals and

some turtles. We also enjoyed pasting octagon shapes, and getting messy doing some sponge

painting art.During the month of August we will be painting

things that are blue and will also be singing songs like “Going in and out the window’ and “open shut

them”. We would like to say Hello to Juliana, Kinsley, Isla and Aleyah.

. &This past month we celebrated 4th of July by talking about the colors red, white and blue. Our friends played with red, white and blue paint creating a masterpiece to decorate our room.

They enjoyed taking pictures with the patriotic sunglasses. Our fireworks (made with our own hands) lit up the sky. We also

talked about opposites “Inside and Outside”.This month we can’t wait to get ready for fall and see what

the new school year will bring. Our friends are getting ready to learn about “Open” and “Close” as well. They are going to be thrilled about learning how they can open and close their

eyes, hands & mouth. They will experience the feel of playing with gelatin and they will also have fun going on a picnic.

In July we learned about cold and warm water. We also talked about animals that live in the water and the kids

enjoyed making art about those cute animals. We had the opportunity to put on rain gear, got sprayed with water and pretended that we were playing in the rain. We talk about

the many uses for water like: bathing, cooking, how the water helps plants grow, etc… We talked about the colors

red, white and blue and we had a blast at our Independence day Shoe Box Parade.

This August we will be getting ready for fall as we talk about BIG animals, the sounds they make, the color they are,

where they live, what they eat, where or how they sleep, etc…

We will be practicing lacing with different shapes. We will also be talking and learning about things that are heavy and

light using our classrooms toys to compare weights.At Helotes

Summer Reality Journey through the USA

. , . & .In July we got to travel to New Mexico, Washington D.C, Hawaii & Florida! In New Mexico, we learned about animals that live underground and how an aquifer works and how to use the aquifer! In Washington D.C., we celebrated Patriotism, presidents, the White House, and learned about the American Flag. In Hawaii, we had fun learning some cool facts about the island, enjoyed our Luau Dress Up Day, and had a blast making our own leis. During our visit to Florida we learned about Oranges and we also had the opportunity to paint with real oranges.In August, we will be traveling to New York where we will be learning about the Big Apple, The Empire State Building, etc…we will review transportation as well. For Arizona, we will learn about desserts, how the weather changes drastically during the day compared to the night time, and we will also learn about plants and animals that live there. We will finish our summer curriculum visiting Kansas. We are super excited to get ready for the brand new school year and the new exciting things we will get to learn about. In July we traveled to New Mexico, Washington D.C, Hawaii, and Florida!! In New Mexico, we traveled to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and learned all about bats in their natural habitat! In Washington D.C, we pf course took a trip to the past and learned all about our four fathers! We visited our Nations Monuments as well. We

then visited the amazing islands of Hawaii, where we learned all about volcanoes, pineapples, and their language. Last but not least, we went to Florida, where we went to Disney World to see Mickey Mouse, to

Cape Canaveral and learned all about spaceships and went surfing on the John Kempe Coral Reef.

In August, we are ending our U.S..A Cruise in our last 3 states! Yay!! We will be visiting New York, Arizona and Kansas. In New York we will be visiting Ellis Island and we will see the Statue of the Liberty. We will see the Niagara Falls, and the Empire State Building. In Arizona, we will learn all about deserts and the animal life.

Finally we will end in Kansas. We will see gardens, speed ways, and visit different museums; and of course talk a little bit about the Oz museum. Our last Splash Day will be August 14th. We would like to say good bye to

DeSean and welcome Ms. Kayla and Ms. Sarah.

July was a blast! Our 4th of July Parade was so much fun, children and parents did a great job with their outstanding floats, we loved every single one of them. We enjoyed learning about New Mexico and cool facts about bats. We learned about Washington D.C and talked about presidents like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Barack Obama. During our trip to Hawaii, we learned about Islands and the rainforest. We enjoyed

learning about Oranges while we were learning about Florida.

In August we will review our Character values of Helpfulness, Tolerance and Respect. We will also get to learn about New York, Arizona & Kansas. We can’t wait to see what our friends dress up as on our silly dress up days that are on Wednesdays! August 5th: College Tee Day, August 12th: Favorite Storybook Character Day,

August 19th: Superhero Day!

We would like to say good bye to Emily, Erin, Cade, Aarie, Vincent, Aja & Cristiana.

Last month we visited New Mexico, Washington D.C, Hawaii and Florida. We learned so much about bats, nocturnal animals, aquifers, presidents

of the U.S.A, Washington’s Landmarks, Islands, volcanos, rainforest, Oranges and more… We had an amazing time during our 4th of July

shoe box parade, thank you every one for participating.

During the month of August we will continue our journey throughout the United States. This time we will be visiting New York, Arizona and we will finish our adventure in Kansas. We can’t wait to see what the new school year will bring. We would like to welcome our new friends Alexandria,

Mark, Naomi, Ally and Ms. Secile.

. & . Our class had a very exciting month of July, starting with our Independence Day Shoe Box Parade which was a success. We went to a lot of exciting places for our field trips like the

Planetarium, Japanese Tea Garden, San Antonio Aquarium, H.E.B and more… We had a blast

learning about states like New Mexico and their caves, Washington D.C and it’s landmarks,

Hawaii and it’s rainforest and volcanoes, and Florida and Disney World.

In the month of August, we will continue with more fun filled field trips to the Pump it Up, Institute of Texan Culture, Natural Caverns,

and the Fiesta Farms.

We had a blast in July having to go to cool places and also having our in school adventures like the visit of “Happy Tails”. They brought a bunch of amazing animals as the kids would say! Also we had the visit of Spikey Mikey he had us on the edge of our chairs laughing. We had the opportunity to go to the Planetarium, Japanese Tea Gardens, Rain Forest Café & the San Antonio Aquarium, where we got to touch and feed

multiple animals.August will be the month of gearing our minds to learn. We will be going to O.P Schnabel Park, Pump It Pump, Institute of Texan

Culture, Natural Bridge Caverns, Fiesta Farms & Incredible Pizza!! Our last swimming day will be August 14th!
