1 Greetings to everyone from your PLI family. I hope that you had a great month of July. We have had a very exciting and busy summer so far. It is always thrilling when we are able to collaborate with other like- minded organizations to offer new and improved services to our community and thats why I am so happy to announce two new partnerships with Professional Athletes Inc. and Project R.A.G.E. Through our collaboration with Professional Athletes Inc., we will hold Sports Clinics & Workshops, Summer Camps, Assemblies. There will also be both current and former NFL players at these events for hands-on training and games. We are also very excited about our partnership with Janice Higgins and Project R.A.G.E. (Release Anger & Guilt for Empowerment). Through Project R.A.G.E. Parents and students will be able to learn how to deal with their personal anger and how to put that energy to a good and positive use. E. Neal Roberts KoalasRoberts has started off the year with a bang! There has been so much buzz and interest about the program that there is currently a waiting list! The students have been having a blast with Hands-on-Science and the Impact Sports programs on Thursdays and Fridays of each week. Special thanks to all the parents who attended the Parent Orientation!

Lankershim Lions

Lankershim Lions have also had a great start to the school year. All the students are very excited about the Impact Sports competition against Roberts. Site Lead Mr. Dave said he is very excited about the chance to compete against his former students at Roberts. He also said that Roberts better be ready because Lankershim has been practicing and working really hard to win!

Highland Pacific TigersHighland Pacific is very excited to launch off the new school year. They have many fun clubs lined up for the new year like Artistic Arts, Healthy Mind and Body, and Wii vs. Real Sports. Also for all interested parents there will be an orientation on the program on August 18th from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Parents will get to meet the staff, learn more about the program, and ask questions . Hi-Pac is also very excited about the new additions of Ms. Eva and Mr. Linwood.

Each month we are a host site for Angel Food Ministries distribution. By buying food from first rate suppliers at

substantial volume discounts, Angel Food Ministries is able to provide families with approximately $65 worth of quality nutritious food for $30 Each month's menu is different and

consists of fresh, frozen and packaged food. There is no purchase limit for boxes of Angel Food.
